AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: Section 1. That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being sit- uated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: BEING a tract of land northeast of the City of Fort Worth and embracing all or parts of the J. Mathews, G. B. Stanley, J. M. Robinson, J. N. King, I. N. Stapp, D. E. Norton, J. C. Bradford, Wm. Evans, N. A. Roberts, P. Green, J. Condra, J. Edmonds, E. W. Shivers, W. Converse, J. W. Haynes, Wm.M. Bostick, S. P. Williams, C. C. White, Wm. W. Thompson, David Odum, A. Beard, and M. Johnson Surveys. BEGINNING at a corner in the present City of Fort Worth city limit line, in the east line of Alta Vista Road (County Road No. 3070) in the west city limit of Haltom City, east of the northeast corner of the J. C. McComas (North) Survey; THENCE northerly along the easterly line of County Road No. 3070, 3053 and 4053 to its intersection with the north line of County Road No. 4022; THENCE east along the north line of County Road No. 4022 to its intersection with the Watauga city limit line, in the west line of the D. L. Hall Survey; THENCE north along the Watauga city limit line, and the west line of the D. L. Hall Survey to the northwest corner of said Survey; THENCE east along the Watauga city limit line and the north line of the D. L. Hall Survey to its intersec- tion with the westerly right of way line of U. S. Highway No. 377; THENCE northeasterly, along the westerly right of way line of U. S. Highway No. 377 to its intersection with the south line of County Road No. 4046; THENCE west along the' south line of County Road No. 4046 and along said line produced west to its in- tersection with the west line of County Road No. 4066; THENCE south along the west line of County Road No. 4066 to its intersection with the north line of the W. Converse Survey; THENCE west along the north line of the W. Converse Survey to its northwest corner, in the east line of the Wm. Bostick Survey; J THENCE north along the east line of the Wm. Bostick Survey to its intersection with the south line of County Road No. 4053; THENCE west along the south line of County Road No. 4053, and along said line produced west, to a point 100 feet west from the east line of County Road No. 4053; THENCE southerly parallel to and 100 feet west- erly from the easterly line of County Road No. 4053, 3053 and 3070, to a point in the present City of Fort Worth city limit line, in the north line of the J. C. McComas (North) Survey; THENCE east along the present City of Fort Worth city limit line, and the north line of the J. C. McComas (North) Survey, and along said line produced east, 100 feet to the place of beginning, and containing approxi- mately 6.4 square miles. Section 2. That this ordinance shall be published one time in The Fort Worth Star Telegram, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter. Section 3. If any section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase or word of this ordinance is for any reason held void or unconstitutional by a court of competent ,jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections, subsections, clauses, sentences, phrases or words, except as the same are inseparable from and indispensable to the remaining ! r portions of the ordinance. Section 4. That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publication, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
