An ordinar_ce reSulating the blowing of locomotive-engine acid elec-
tric-car whistles within the corporate limits of the City of Fort
Worth, and providing penalties for the violation of same.
Be it ordathed by the Ecard of commissioners of the City* of
Fort Worth:
Seel. That no locomotive whistlep by which is neant
the steam whistle attached to or connected with a railroad lOcOMO—
tive engine shall be blown or sounded within the corporate limits
of the City of Fort Torth (1) except where the railroad track upon
which said engine is propelled crosses a public romd or street with
the said limits,in which case the said whistle shall be blown at a
distance of at least eighty rokds therefrom, and except (2) ghere

of some person or animal upon or near the track and to warn such
person_ or animal therefrom.

Sec. 2. That it shall be unlz; ful to sound or blow
standing
the whistle of any electric-car plyin4^or running upon or along the
streets and thoroughfares of the City of Fort Worth and within tit
corporate limits thereof except in oases where it or
sanecessary to
do so because of the imminent peril of some person^on or near the
track upon which said car is standing; or moving, and to warn such
person or animal therefrom.
Sec. 3. Any person, firm or corporation,,,,owninggoper-
ating, conduking or using a locometi.ve-engine or electric-car, or
any enFineer, notorman, conductor, fireman, switchman, brsakenmanlor
other employe of such person, firm or corporation,or receiver or
trustee thereof; in charge of or directing the movements of such
locomotive-engine or electric-car who shall. sound or blow,or cause
or permit to be sounded or blown within the corporate limits pf the
City of Fort Worth, except in the cases hereinbefore specified, the
whistle connected with or attached to Buell locomotive-engine or
electric-car, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon con-
viction thereof shall be fined in any sum not lesa than td%�. �e
dollars and no more than one hundred dollars, and each act of whis-
tling in violation of this ordinance shall constitute a separate
andti�tinct offense a= bv, nunis}fable as ouch-
Sec. 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
cofflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Sec.5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage and publication as required by law.
