SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISKCNS
SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; yAMENDING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; TEA.
PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND SPECIFYING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL CF THE CITY OF FCPT WORTH, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort
Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral
part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County,
Texas, and being described by mates and bounds as follows:
BEING a tract of land about 10 miles south from the Courthouse of
Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in and including all or part of the J.
Wilcox, T. 0. Moody, C. Martin, J. H. Duncan, Moses Walters, J. Korticky,
W. H. Colthard, H. Riddle, I & G N R.R. Co., H. K. Maples, J. R. Leath,
A. Castillo, A. Fernandez, John Colthard, H. Foster, P. Caldwell, J.
Armendaris, H. Mendoza, A. S. Young, Joseph Boden, H. G. Catlett No. S-149,
H. G. Catlett No. 3-150, and H. G. Catlett No. 5-157, E. B. Dishman, S A &
M G R.R. Co., J. Jennings, M. A. Toler, B. Pool and. J. A. Gill Surveys;
BEG INNIN3 at a point in the present City Limit Line of the City of
Fort Worth, in the westerly right-of-way line of the G C & S F R.R. Co.,
2500 feet south from the south right-of-way line of County Road No. 1059;
THENCE southerly, along the westerly right-of-way line of the G C &
S F R.R. Co. to its intersection with the north line of County Road No. 1075;
THENCE west, along the north line of County Road No. 1075, with its
meanders, to its intersection with the east line of County Road No. 1035;
THENCE south, west, south, west, south, west, and south, along the
east right-of-way line of County Road No. 1035 with its meanders to its
intersection with the south line of Tarrant County, and continuing south
to the south line of the Joseph Boden Survey, in Johnson County, Texas;
THENCE east, along the south line of the Joseph Boden Survey to its
southeast corner;
THENCE north, along the east line of the Joseph Boden Survey to the
southwest corner of the A. S. Young Survey;
THENCE east, along the south line of the A. S. Young Survey to the
northwesterly line of the H. C. Catlett Survey No. S-149;
THENCE southwesterly, along the northwesterly line of the H. G.
Catlett Survey No. S-149 to its west corner;
THENCE southeasterly, along the southwesterly line of the H. G.
Catlett Survey No. S-149 to its south corner;
THENCE northeasterly, along the southeasterly line of the ft. G.
Catlett Survey No. S-149 to the west corner of the H. G. Catlett Survey
No. 5-150;
THENCE southeasterly, along the southwesterly line of the H. G.
Catlett Survey No. 5-150 to its south corner;
THENCE northeasterly, along the southeasterly line of the H. G.
Catlett Survey No. 5-150 to its intersection with the easterly right-
of-way line of the G C & S F R.R.;
THENCE northeasterly, along the easterly right-of-way line of the
G C & S F R.R. to its intersection with the south line of Tarrant County;
THENCE west, along the south line of Tarrant County to its intersec-
tion with the west line ofthe J. W. Corbett Survey;
THENCE north, along the west line of the J. W. Corbett Survey to its
northwest corner in the south line of the E. Wickson Survey;
THENCE west, along the south line of the E. Wickson Survey to its
southwest corner;
THENCE north, along the west line of the E. Wickson Survey to its
northwest corner;
THENCE east, along the north line of the E. Wickson Survey to its
intersection with the west line of the J. A. Gill Survey produced south;
THENCE north, crossing the M. A. Toler, B. Pool, and Moses Walters
Surveys, to and along the west line of the J. A. Gill Survq to its inter-
section with the south line of County Road No. 1075;
THMICE east, along the south line of County Road No. 1075 to its
intersection with the east right-of-way line of the G C & S F R.R.;
THENCE northerly, along the easterly right-of-way line of the G C &
S F R.R. to its intersection with the present CityLimit Line of the City
of Fort `Idorth, 2500 feet south from the south right-of-way line of County
Road No. 1059;
THENCE west, along the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort
Worth, parallel to and 2500 feet south from the south right-of-way line of
County Road No. 1059; to the place of beginning and containing approximately
8.4 square miles.
Section 2.
That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in conflict
herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance No. 4383,
heretofore adopted and passed on October 28, 1960, but as to all other ordimnees or
sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith this ordinance shall be and
is hereby,made cumulative.
Section 3.
That this ordinance shall be published one time in a daily newspaper published
in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter
XXVIII of the City Charter.
Section 4.
If any section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word of this ordinance
is for any reason held void or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction,
such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections, subsections,
clauses, sentences, phrases or words, except as the same are inseparable from and
indispensable to the remaining portions of the ordinance.
Section 5.
That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect upon
its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date
of its publications, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
