An .ordinance designating seven and one-tenth acres of land,
more or less, within the limits of the City of Fort Worth, to
be improved and cared for by the Park Board for the City of Fort
Worth; said part of ground to be used as a Park for the colored
people of the City of Fort Worth.
BE IT ORDAINM) BY THE BOARD OF COMLISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH:
Se&.l. The following described tract of land .be, and the
same is hereby designated for Park purposes, to-wit:
Description of 7 - 1/10 Acres of land out of the E.
Gouenant Survey, belonging to the City of Fort Worth, and wkioh
is to be designated for Park purposes.
Beginning at a point, a water elm tree marked x, on the
S outh bank of the Clear Fork, bearing North 59 deg. 30 min. West
86 ft, from the Northwest—Corner of the pumping' ation buil in—
of the old Fort Worth waterworks Company; thence South 7 deg.
West 121 ft. to a stake; Thence S outh 2 deg. East 362 ft; thence
Fast 330 ft to a stake; Thence North 24 deg. 20 min. 'Past 598
ft, crossing the Trinity River to a hackberry tree marked x;
thence North 63 deg. West 529 ft. to a stake on the North bank of
the West Fork; thence South 63 deg? Nest 182 ft. crossing the
West Fork, to a stage; thence South 21 deg? 35 min. East 238 ft.
crossing the Clear Fork to the place pf beginning. Containing
7-1/10 acres. more or less.
Sea: 2: The above described tract of land is designated
for improvement by the Park Board for the City of Fort Worth, to
be used and enjpyed by the colored people of the City of Fort
Worth, as a Park and play ground.
Spec. 3: The City of Fort Worth reserves the right
to the use and control of all that section of the Trinity River
included within the above boundries; especially reserving the
right to move the wire bridge now across said Trinity River to
an*point either up or down said stream; and it is further under-
stood that the designation herein made, shall not in any manner,
deprive the City of Fort Worth, of the right to open and grade

any street or streets across said tract of land, which may be here-
after deemed advisable. It is further expressly understood
and provided, that the City of Fort North reserves the right at
any time in the future to use said tract of land, upon which to
erect pumping house or other machinery, necessary in connection
with the Waterworks Department for the said City of Fort Wdrth?
Sec.4:0 The designation and appropriation pf the above
described property is made in accordance with the provisions of
Sec.l, Chapter 6, of the Charter of the City of Fort Worth, and
subject to reservations hereinbefore made, shall be managed and
opntrolled by the Park Board of the City of Fort Worth) in accord-
ance with the Charter and Ordinance of said city.
