HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 632 c _ r ORDINANCE No. � f 4 i AN ORDINANCE MAKING IT UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON, FIRM OR CORPORATION TO STOP, STAND OR DETAIN ANY AUTOMOBILE, MOTOR CAR, OMNIBUS, HACK, CARRI 3E OR OTHER VEHICLE ENGAGED IN CARRYING GOODS OR PASSENGERS FOR HIRE IN THE CITY OF FORT FORTH WHILE WAITING FOR, OR SOLICITING EMPLOYMENT AT ANY^PLACE, s OR ON ANY STREET OR ALLEY WITHIN THE .CITY OF FORT '-FORTH, AND PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COM"AISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF FORT TORTH: Section 1: It shall hereafter be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to stop, stand or detain any automobile, motor car, omnibus, hack, carriage or other vehicle engaged in carrying goods or passengers for hire in the City of Fort North while waiting for, or soliciting employment at anyn p , or on any streetTor alleyr- . the City of Fort Worth. Section 2: Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance, shall upon wonviction, be fined not less than $SiOO nor more than $100.00, and each violation thereof shall be considered a separate and distinct offense. Section 3: This Ordinance shall not apply to any person, firm or corporation owning or operating any automobile, motor car, omnibus, hack, carriage or other vehicle that is used for transporting passengers or freight between the City of Fort Worth and cities and towns outside of the city of Fort Worth on regular runs or trips between fixed points, and who do not solicit passengers or freight for trans- portation within the limits of the City of Fort north. Section 4: Should any section or part of any section of this Ordinance be declared invalid by a court of competent 3urisdictiron, such decision or judgment shall not affect the other sections, or parts of sections of this Ordinance, and the same shall remain in full force and effect. Section 5: All Ordinancoa- or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith, and all ordinances heretofore establishing hack stands or stands for vehicles within the above described limits, are hereby repealed. Section 6: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication as l required by law.
