AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 825, AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION ON THE 13TH DAY OF MAY AD 1922 A PROPOSITION TO A- DOPT CERTAIN AMENDMENTS TO THE EXISTING CHARTER OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH. AREAS the Board of Commissioners of the City of Fort forth, Tarrant County, Taxes, being the govern- ing and legislative authority of the City of Fort forth, a city of more than five thousand inhabitants, did on the_ day of April A D 1922pass a certain ordinance submitting to the qualified voters of the City of Fort North propositions to adopt certain amendments to the existing charter of the City of Fort Worth amending Section 2, Chapter 1; Section 19, Chapter 15; Section 18, Chapter 11, and adding chapter 18, sections 1 to 10, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 17, Title 22 in Articles 1096-a and 1096-b of the state statutes of Texas, and WHEREAS the Board of Trustees of the Fort Worth public schools and many other citizens have by petition and otherwise requested that a certain amendment con- carning the tax rate for said schools be submitted to the said qualified voters at the same time other amend- ments are submitted, and WHEREAS said proposed amendment was not included in the provisions of ordinance No. 825 submitting certain proposed amendments; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH: VW _ SECTION I That Ordinance No. 825, which ordinance was regularly passed on the day of April A D 1922 and which ordinance provided that a special election be held on the 13th day of May A D 1922 for the pur- pose of submitting to the qualified voters of the City of Fort forth, Tarrant County, Texas, propositions to adopt certain amendments to the existing charter of the City of Fort Worth, amending Section 2 Chapter 1; Section 19, Chapter 15; Section 18, Chapter 11 and adding Chapter 18, Sections 1 to 10 in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 17, Title 22 in Articles 1096-a and 1096-b of the state statutes of Texas, be and the same is hereby in all things set aside, an- nulled, repealed and is held void for all intents and purposes.
