HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 2634 ORDINANCE NO. —L c AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE ALLEY IN BLACK "B," WILLING PARK PLACE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, LYING TEN FEET EAST OF AND PARALLEL TO RYAN PLACE DRIVE, FROM JESSAMINE STREET TO CARLOCK AVENUE, BE ABANDONED, VACATED AND CLOSED; AND PROVIDING FOR THE REVER- SION OF THE FEE TO SAID LAND. WHEREAS, it appearing to the City Council of the City of Fort Worth that the alley in Block "B," Willing Park Place Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, lying ten feet east of and parallel to Ryan Place Drive, from Jessamine Street to Carlock Avenue, has never been used by the public and that it is to the best interest of the public that said alley be closed, abandoned and vacated as a public thoroughfare and the fee to the land in said alley revert as provided by law; NOW, THERE- FORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the nine and one-half (Qj) foot alley in Block "B," Willing Park Place Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, ly- ing ten feet east of and parallel to Ryan Place Drive, from Jessamine Street to Carlock Avenue, be and the same is hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in said alley above described is hereby released and will revert to the owner as provided by law, save and except that an easement is reserved for public utilities. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4,, That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and ef- fect from and after the date of its passage.
