AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEX- ING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said ter- ritory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the south line of Seminary Drive and the east line of the right of way of I. & G. N. Railroad, in the L. Wetmore Survey; Thence east with the south line of Seminary Drive (the present City Limit Line) to its intersection with the west line of the right of way of the H. & T. C. Rail- way; Thence southeasterly to the north boundary line of U. S. Government Public Service Health Hospital; Thence west 684 varas, with the said north line of U. S. Government Hospital tract to the most northerly northwest corner of the hospital tract; Thence south 745 varas to a corner of the hospital tract; Thence west 719 varas to a corner of the hospital tract; Thence south 266-1/2 varas to corner of hospital tract; Thence east 37-1/2 varas to corner; Thence south 685-1/2 varas to corner; Thence west 930 varas to the east line of the right of way of the I. & G. N. Railway Company; Thence in a northwesterly direction with the said east line of the right of way of the I. & G. N. Railroad to a point due east of the southeast corner of Southland Terrace Addition, Third Filing, said point being approximately 540 varas south of Seminary Drive; Thence west across the I. & G. N. Railroad right of way to the said southeast corner of the Southland Terrace Ad- dition, Third Filing, said point being also in the prosQat City of Fort Worth City Limit Line; Thence in a northerly direction along the westerly railroad right of way line and along the present City Limit Line to a point in the south line of Seminary Drive; Thence east along the south line of Seminary Drive and along the present City of Fort Worth City Limit Line across the I. & G. N. Railroad right of way to the place of begin- ning, containing approximately 600 acres of land. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published one time in The Fort Worth Press, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publication as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
