AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING
EDGEWOOD COURT IN THE 2500 BLOCK FROM RAMEY
AVENUE SOUTH TO THE NORTH LINES OF LOTS 12 AND
13 TKACZ ADDITION, A WIDTH OF 50 FEET AND
INCLUDING A PARTIAL CUL-DE-SAC AT THE SOUTH END
OF THE BLOCK, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 388-26,
PAGE 45, PLAT RECORDS OF TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS,
PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID LAND;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN C014FLICT HEREWITH,
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS
SECTION 1.
That Edgewood Court, a public thoroughfare, between Blocks
2 and 3 Sheraton Subdivision according to plat recorded in Volume
388-26, Page 45, Plat Records, Tarrant County, Texas, being more
particularly described as follows:
COMMENCE at the northwest corner of Block 2, Sheraton
Subdivision thence, South no degrees 14 minutes 30
seconds East along the west line of said Block 2, 6.33
feet to the point of beginning, said beginning point
being in the South right-of-way line of Ramey Avenue
according to Paving Plans File No. K-349, on file in the
Public Works Department, City of Fort Worth, said
beginning point also being the southwest corner of a
tract of land deeded to the City of Fort Worth by deed
recorded in Volume 4409, Page 213 Deed Records, Tarrant
County, Texas, said tract being Parcel 32 on said Ramey
Avenue Paving Plans;
THENCE: South no degrees 14 minutes 30 seconds East,
along the west line of said Block 2, 258.47 feet to a
point on a curve, the center of which bears South 17
degrees 10 minutes 44 seconds West a radius distance
of 50.0 feet;
THENCE: Southerly along said curve to the right an arc
distance of 53.3 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 15,
of said Block 2;
THENCE: North 89 degrees 52 minutes 30 seconds West
98.0 feet to the southeast corner of Lot 4, of Block 3,
Sheraton Subdivision, said corner being on a curve,
the center of which bears South 78 degrees 35 minutes
28 seconds East a radius distance of 50.0 feet;
THENCE: Northerly along said curve to the right, an
arc distance of 29.70 feet to the end of said curve;
THENCE: North no degrees 14 minutes 30 seconds West
along the east line of said Block 3, 271.03 feet to
a point in the south right-of-way line of said Ramey
Avenue, said point being the southeast corner of
Parcel 31, Deeded to the City of Fort Worth by deed
recorded in Volume 4409, Page 213; Deed Records,
Tarrant County, Texas;
THENCE: South 89 degrees 15 minutes east along the
south right-of-way line of said Ramey Avenue, 50.0
feet to the point of beginning and containing
15,924.687 square feet of land more or less.
be and the same is hereby vacated, abandoned and permanently closed
for street right-of-way purposes.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in the above described right-
of-way is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owners
as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are retained
for any and all existing utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it
is so ordained.

The Director of Public Works, on behalf of the City of Fort Worth, owner of Lots
11-15, Block 2, and Lots 1-4, Block 3, Sheraton Subdivision, has requested that
the City vacate Edgewood Court in the 2500 block from Ramey Avenue south to the
north lines of Lots 12 and 13, Tkacz Addition, a width of 50' and including a
partial cul-de-sac at the south end of the block, as shown on the attached map,
and more fully described in the attached metes and bounds description.
The subject street right-of-way, acquired by dedication of the Sheraton Subdivi-
sion, is not open on the ground, is otherwise unimprcd, and contains no utility
facilit-ies-.
Reviewing City departments and private utility companies have raised no objec-
tions to this request provided the vacated right--of-way is replatted with
abutting property. A satisfactory replat has been submitted.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that the
subject street right-of-way be vacated as requested.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating the subject street
right-of-way.
