D. 1916. BE IT ORDA11=1 BY THE BOARD OF COMSISSIDNERS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH: Sec. 1. OF TIM'S CITY OF FORT WORTH. NO. ,_� SCHOOL BOND. SERIES 31. Issue of $225,000.00 authorized by Ordinance No. 5Z5, passed by the Board of Commissioners on the lot day of August A. D. 1916. On the first day of August 1956, for value received, the City of Fort Worth, in the County of Tarrant and State of Texas, a Municipal Corporation created and duly incorporated by speeia} act of the legislature and under and by virtue of the rt laws of '..e State of Texas, promises to pay to bearer at the Hanover National Bank in the City of New York, State of New York, One Thousand ($1,000.00) dollars, with interest thereon represented by coupon notes hereto attached, at the rate of five (5%) per cent per annum, payable semi0annuaily on the first day of Aupust and February of -aeh and every y3Ar on the p--'esentation and surrender of the respective coupons hereto 4 + -,inneted, as %hey severally become due, both principal and interest payable in gold coin of the United States of the present weight and, fineness. The option is hereby reserved, to the said City of Fort Worth, to redeem this bond and pay the same at the expiration of twenty (20) years from the date hereof, or at any interest-paying period thereafter, in th1th GVEMt, t'ie interest hereon shall there- after cease and the interest coupons which have not matured, shall u� be delivered and cancelled. This bond is one of a series of Two Midred and Twenty-five bonds of like amount, tenor and effect issued for the purpose of borrowing money, which will be spent for the purpose of increasing and improving the school facilities in said City, and for the pur- chase of lands therefor, the construction of buildings thereon, and the repair, reconstruction and renovation thereof; pursuant to the provisions of Section 19, Chapter RV of the Charter of said City, granted by Act of the Thirty-first Legislature of the State of Texa s, -tnti-Ordinanze-70- 526 of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Fort Worth passed in pursuance thereof. And it is hereby certified and recited that all vets, con- ditions and things required to be done pursuant to and in the is- suance of this bond have been properly done, happened and per- formed in legal and due form as required by law, and that the total indebtedness of said City, including this bond, does not exceed the Constitutional or statutory limitations. IN WITLESS ' HEMIP. the said Board of Commissioners of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, has caused this bond to be signed and subscribed by the Mayor as the corporate act of the government of said City, attested by the City Secretary thereof, uneler the seal of the City hereunto duly impressed on this the first day of August, A. TERPML, Comptroller of Public Accounts certify that there is on file and of record in my office a certificate of the Attorney-General of the State of Texas to the effect that this 'bond has been examined by him as required by Article 619, fteviaed Statutes of 1911, and that he finds it has been issued in conformity with the constitution and laws of Texas, and that L� is a valid and binding obligation upon said City of Fort Worth, Texs.s, and said bond has this day been registered by me in ac- cordance with the provisions of Article 620 Rev.
