AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT ALL COWS IN THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH SRALL BE REGISTERED IN THE NAME OF THE
OWNER IN THE OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC HEALTE
AND BE GTM A PHYSICAL EXAMINaTION AND TUBERCULIN
TEST BEFORE MILK IS USED OR CONSUF.ED FROM SUCH ANIMALS
BY ANY PERSON, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION
THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION I.
That all cows over six months of age and additions to such
animals, located in the City of Fart Worth, shall be registered in the
name of the owner in the office of the Director of Public Health before
any milk from such animals is used or consumed by any person; and also
before any milk from such animals is used or consumed by any person, the
said animals shall be given a physical examination and tuberculin test
by a licensed veterinarian, approved by the Director of Public Health
and such tests shall be made at least once every year thereafter. Said
tests shall be made and any reactors disposed of in accordance with the
current requirements approved by the United States Department of Agriculture,
Bureau of Animal Industries for Accredited Herds.
SECTION II.
This ordinance shall be and it is hereby declared to be cumulative
of all other ordinances of the City of Fort Worth, affecting the production,
sale or distribution of milk, and shall hot operate to repeal or affect any
such ordinance or ordinances.
SECTION III.
Any person, firm or corporation, or the agents, servants or officers
of any firm or corporation, found guilty of violating any of the provisions
of this ordinance shall be fined in any sum not to exceed Fifty Dollars
450.00).
SECTION IV.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
the first day of August, 1935 and publication, as required by law.
