AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT PROSSER STREET LYING AND
BEING BETWEEN SAMUELS AVENUE AND THE G. C.'& S. F.
RAILROAD AND BETWEM BLOCK 4 AND 5, HOLLOWAYIS ADDI-
TION, BE VACATED, CLOSED AND ABANDONED; PROVIDING FOR
THE REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE14ITH; AND PROVIDING THAT
THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
WHEREAS, although the hereinafter described street appears on a re-
corded plat as a public street, it has never been used by the public as a
street, but on the contrary it has always been used as private property by
the adjacent owners; and,
WHEREAS, it is to the best interest of the public that this street
be permanently closed and abandoned to public use; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS..-
SECTION 1.
That the following described street be and the same is hereby va-
cated, closed and permmently abandoned as a public street or thoroughfare:
Prosser Street between Samuels Avenue and the G. C.
& S. F. Railroad and between Block 4 and 5, Hollowayts
Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County,
Texas.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the aforesaid land is hereby released and will re-
vert to the adjacent owners as provided by law, save and except that an ease-
ment is reserved for public utilities.
SECTION 3:1
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and ef-
fect from and after the date of its passage.
