AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort `North, said territory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING in the present City limit line of the City of Fort Worth at a point where the westerly right-of-way line of U. S. Highway #81 intersects the southerly right-of-way line of the G. C. & S. F. R. R. Co. spur track to the Trinity Port- land Cement Plant. THENCE North crossing said spur track and the U. S. Highway #81 to a point in the westerly right-of-way line of the G. C. & S. F. main line. THENCE in a northerly direction along the westerly right-of-way line to a point in the South line of the E. Jones Survey. THENCE East along the South line of the E. Jones Survey and along the South line of the Jas. Huie Survey to the South- east comer of said survey, said point being in the road known as the Blue Mound Road. THENCE North along the East line of the Jas. Huie Sur- vey to its northeast corner. THENCE East to a point in the northeasterly right-of- way line of the F. W. & D. C. R. R. Co., said point being in the southwesterly line of the W. R. Ross 225.5 acres tract of land. THENCE in a southeasterly direction along the said north- easterly R. R. right-of-way line to the southwest corner of the said W. R. Ross tract. THENCE East along the South line of the W. R. Ross tract to its southeast corner. THENCE North along the East line of the said W. R. Ross tract to its most easterly Northeast corner. THENCE in a westerly and northerly direction following the northerly boundary of the said W. R. Ross tract to a point the northwest corner of said tract,said point being in a road known as Blue Mound Road. THENCE South along the West line of the W. -R. Ross tract to a point in the southwesterly right-of-way line of the.F. W. & D. C. R. R. Co.. THENCE in a northwesterly direction along the said south- westerly right-of-way line to a point in the north line of the Jno. Hibbins Survey. THENCE West along the North line of the Jno. Hibbins Sur- vey to a point in the Easterly right-of-way line of the C. R. I. & G. R. R. Co. THENCE in a southerly direction along the said easterly right-of-way line to a point in the North line of the E. Jones Survey. THENCE West along the North line of the E. Jones Survey to a point in the East line of U. S. Highway #81. THENCE North along the East line of U. S. Highway #81 to a point in the North line of the Jno. Hibbins Survey. THENCE West passing the northwest corner of said Survey and continuing along the North line of the Santa Fe, Industrial Tract a distance of 1806 feet more or less to the northwest corner of the said Santa Fe Industrial Tract. THENCE South along the West line of said tract a distance of 2583 feet more or less to the southwest corner of said tract. THENCE East along the South line of said tract to a point in the West right-of-way line of U. S. Highway #81. THENCE South along the West right-of-way line of the said U. S. Highway #81 to a point the most northerly corner of the Johnson Aircraft property in the S. A. & M. G. R. R. Survey, said point being in the present City limit line of the City of Fort Worth, Texas. THENCE in a southerly and easterly direction along the present City limits line to the place of beginning and contain- ing approximately 804 acres. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published one time in the Fort Worth st.a.r- �, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort 'North, in ac- cordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and ef- fect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publication as aforesaid, and it is so or- dained.
