AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AN APPROPRIATION AND ADVANCE OF FUNI:4`i FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED SURPLUS IN THE GENERAL FUND TO THE AIRPORTS FUND IN A CERTAIN ACCOUNT, SUCH APPROPRIATION AND ADVANCE TO BE USED FOR THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN REAL PROP- ERTY AND IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE CLEAR ZONE AREA AT MEACHAM FIELD; PROVi;D G FOR THE REIMBURSEMENT OF THE GEN- ERAL FUND AFTER THE SALE C 00fiTEMPLATED AIRPORT REVENUE BONDS, SERIES 1960; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That on April 1, 1960, the City Council of the City of Fort Worth authorized the purchase from Luther D. Prescott, of Tarrant County, Texas, of 7.4 acres of land more or less out of the S. A. & M. G. R. R. Company Survey, Abstract No. 1464, in Tarrant County, Texas, also known as the Cobell Industries property. SECTION 2. That there is currently in the budgetary accounting of the Airports Fund of the City of Fort Worth an insufficient amount to provide for the payment of the consideration in such real estate transaction. SECTION 3. That it is necessary that an appropriation be made from the unappro- priated surplus in the General Fund of the City of Fort Worth for the pur- pose of providing for the extension and improvement of the clear zone at the northerly end of Meacham Field Airport. SECTION 4. That the total sum of One Hundred Eighty-seven Thousand, Three Hun- dred Twenty-five and no,/100 Dollars ($187,325•00) be appropriated and advanced from the unappropriated surplus of the General Fund of the City of Fort Worth to provide funds for FAA Project No. 9-41-152-6002 for the extension and improvement of the clear zone area at the northerly end of Meacham Field Airport and in connection therewith the purchase of the said Cobell Industries property in accordance with the action of the City Council of the City of Fort Worth on April 1, 1960. SECTION 5. That there is currently in such budgetary accounting of the General Fund of the City of Fort Varth an unappropriated surplus estimated to be in excess of the amount of One IIundred Eighty-seven Thousand, Three I.Tundred Twenty-five and no/100 Dollars 01187,325.00b SECTION 6. That the appropriation and advance herein made shall be devoted to the payment of the consideration for the purchase of 7.4 acres of land more or less out of the S. A. & M. G. R. R. Company Survey, Abstract Uo. 1464, in Tarrant County, Texas, also known as the Cobell Industries prop- erty, less all tales and other amounts due and owing to the City of fort iJorth, and shall not be used, applied or diverted to any other purpose or object whatsoever than such airport purpose. SECTION 7. That upon the sale of the Airport Revenue bonds, Series 1960, con- templated to be sold at the expiration of the current fiscal year, the said amount herein appropriated and advanced shall be replaced in the General Fund of the City of Fort Worth from the FAA Project To. 4-41- 152-6002. SECTION 8. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.
