EWORTk O? --'-T— RY AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND VACATING THE FOUR FOOT TDL UTILITY EASEMENT ALONG THE SOUTH LINE OF BLOCK A, WESTFORD ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TAR- RANT COUNTY, TEXAS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE REVER- SION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LAND. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the four foot (4' ) wide utility easement adjoining the south line of Block A, Westford Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, as recorded in Vol. 1808, page 393, of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same is hereby extinguished, vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an easement for public utilities, save and except that the east 20 feet thereof is retained for an anchor easement and the west 127 feet thereof is retained for an aerial easement. SECTION 2. That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said easement above described is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by law. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here- with are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. APPROVED AS TO FORM AND LEGALITY: City Attorney City of Fort Worth, Texas Mayor and Council Communicati®n DATE REFERENCE SUBJECT: Proposed .Closing of 4' Wide PAGE NUMBER Utility Easement Along the South Line 1 9/30/63 PZ-75 I or of Block 2 Westford Addition Foreign Car Company, owner of Block A, Westford Addition, has requested that the City close and permanently abandon the 4' wide utility easement extend- ing along the south line of Block A, to permit development of the property. A .plat showing the location of the easement to be abandoned is attached. The private utility companies have been contacted and offer no objection pro- vided 20 feet is retained on the east end for an anchor easement, and 127 feet is retained on the west end for an aerial easement. Releases of ease- ment have been signed by Texas Electric Company and Southwestern Bell Tele- phone Company. The Public Works Department, Traffic Engineering Department, Water Department, and Planning Department, have no objections to closing the easement. The City Plan Commission, on September 25, 1963, recommended that the ease- ment be closed as requested, permanently abandoning the 4' wide easement ex- tending across the south side of Block A, Westford Addition, as recorded in Volume 1808, Page 393, Deed Records of Tarrant County, .Texas, save and except the east 20 feet is to be retained for an anchor easement and the west 127 feet to be retained for an aerial easement.
