AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: Section 1. That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being sit- uated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: BEING a tract of land north of the City of Fort Worth and lying in the W. Baker and S. Gilmore Surveys. BEGINNING at a point in the east line of Deen Road, at its intersection with the northeasterly right of way line of the Fort Worth & D. C. Railroad, in the W. Baker Survey; THENCE southeasterly along the right of way of the Fort Worth & D. C. Railroad, to and then along the pre- sent City of Fort Worth city limit line to its inter- section with the northerly right of way line of the St. Louis Southwestern Railroad; THENCE continuing along the present City of Fort Worth city limit line: Southwesterly along the right of way line of the St. Louis Southwestern Railroad 101.6 feet; and, North 36 degrees - 32 minutes west along the right of way of the Fort Worth & D. C. Railroad approximately 350 feet; and, Southwesterly along the southerly right of way line of the Fort Worth & D. C. Railroad, with its meanders, to its intersection with the west line of Deen Road, in the S. Gilmore Survey; and, North along the west line of Deen Road to its inter- section with the northerly right of way line of the Fort Worth & D. C. Railroad; and, Northeasterly and northwesterly along the northwest- erly and southwesterly right of way line of the Fort Worth & D. C. Railroad, with its meanders, to its intersection with the east line of Deen Road, in the W. Baker Survey; THENCE north along the east line of Deen Road to the place of beginning and containing approximately 50 acres. Section 2. That this ordinance shall be published one time in The Fort Worth Press, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort North, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be and become effective and be in full force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publication, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
