AN ORDINANCE EXT]INDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDIM THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED INEOFFICIALCORD DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OFTARY THE CITY CHARTER; AMENDING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND SPECIFYING TEX, AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: Section 1. That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: BEING a tract of land about 7 miles northwest from the Courthouse of Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in and including all or part of the Garcia Montez and Durand, 0. W. Campbell, R. Vickery, J. S. Ward, L. H. Brown, J. W. Haynes, B B B & C R.R. Co., W. Doshier, J. Bowman, Wm. Dean, J. H. Conwell, W. E. Conwell, Thomas Freeman, E. A. Schultz, J. L. Moch, A. S. Roberts, W. Thompson, B. Whitley, G. T. Walters, Benjamin Thomas, J. A. Gill, I & G N R.R. Co., S. A. Hatcher, T & P R.R. Co., and J. P. Smith Surveys and being more fully described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, the most southerly southwest corner of the Garcia Montez and Durand Survey, the west corner of Block 242, Rosen Heights 2nd Filing; THENCE south, along the east line of the J. Bowman Survey, the pre- sent City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, to a point 200 feet north from the northeast right-of-way line of State Farm to Market Road No. 1220; THENCE northwesterly, along a line parallel to and 200 feet north- easterly from the northeast right-of-way line of State Farm to Market Road No. 1220, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, to a point 200 feet east from the west line of the J. Bowman Survey; THENCE north, along a line parallel to and 200 feet east from the west lines of the J. Bowman and S. A. Hatcher Surveys, the present City Limit Linz of the City of Fort Worth, to a point 200 feet north from the north line of the C. Brown Survey produced east; THENCE west, along a line parallel to and 200 feet north from the north line of the C. Brown Survey produced east, and along a line parallel to and 200 feet north from the north line of the C. Brown Survey, the pre- sent City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth to a point 500 feet east from the east right-of-way line of State Farm to Market Road No. 1220; THENCE north, along a line parallel to and 500 feet east from the east right-of-way line of State Farm to Market Road No. 1220, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, to its intersection with the north line of the N. B. Breeding Survey; THENCE east, along the north line of the N. B. Breeding Survey and the ncr th line of the N. B. Breeding Survey produced east, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, to its intersection with the east line of the Mm. Doshier Survey; THENCE north, along the east line of the Wm. Doshier Survey, and the east line of the Wm. Doshier Survey produced north, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, to a point 200 feet north from the north- east right-of-way line of County Road No. 4030; THENCE northwesterly and westerly, along a line parallel to and 200 feet northeasterly and northerly from the northeasterly and northerly right- of-way line of County Road No. 4030, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth to its intersection with,the east line of the Wn. Dean Survey; THENCE north, along the east line of the Wmo Dean Survey, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, to its intersection with the south right-of-way line of the Texas Electric Power Transmission line; THENCE west, along the south right-of-way line of the Texas Electric Dower Transmission line, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, to its intersection with the east right-of-way line of State F,:rm to Market Road No. 1220; THENCE north, northwest, and north, along the east, northeast, and east right-of-way line of State Farm to Market Road No. 1220, with its meanders, to its intersection with the south right-of-way line of County Road No. 4123; THENCE east, along the south right-of-way line of County Road No. 4123 to its intersection with the west right-of-way line of County Road No. 4107; THENCE, southerly, along the west right-of-way line of County Road No. 4107, with its meanders, to its intersection with the northeasterly right-of-way line of County Road No. 4030; THENCE southeasterly, along the northeasterly right-of-way line of County Road No. 4030, to its intersection with the northwesterly line of Buck Sansom Park produced northeasterly, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth; THENCE southwesterly, along the northwest line of Buck Sansom Park produced northeasterly, the northwest line of Buck Sansom Park, and the northwest line of Buck Sansom Park produced southwesterly, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort rdorth, to its intersection with the northeast line of Block 216, Rosen Heights 2nd Filing, the southwesterly right-of-way line of Thirty-First Street; THENCE northwesterly, along the southwesterly right-of-way line of Thirty-First Street, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, to the north corner of Block 246, Rosen Heights 2nd Filing; TH'SNCE southwesterly, along the northwesterly lines of Blocks 246, 245, 2442 243 and 242, the present City Limit Line of the City of Fort Worth, to the place of beginning and containing approximately 8.208 square miles. Section 2. That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in con- flict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance Nos. 3833 and 4777, heretofore adopted and passed on stay 16, 1958, and December 10, 19622 respectively, but as to all other ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith, this ordinance shall be and is hereby made cumulative. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be published one time in a daily newspaper published in the City of Fart v,orth, in accordance with the Provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter. Section 4. If any section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word of this ordi- nance is for any reason held void or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections, subsections, clauses, sentences, phrases or words, except as the same are insepar- able from and indispensable to the remaining portions of the ordinance. Section 5. That this Ordinance shall become effective and be in .full force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publications, as aforesaid., and it is so ordained.
