AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING} CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; AMENIING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND SPECIFYING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT CRDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: Section 1. That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows.- BEING a tract of land about eight miles north of the Coufbthouse of Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in and including all or part of the J. Walker and A.F. Albright Surveys and being more fully described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth 50 feet north of the north right-of-way line of County Road No. 4125, at its intersection with the east right-of-way line of County Road No. 4107; THENCE north along the present city limit,line of the City of Fort Worth the east right-of-way line of County Road No. 4107 to its intersection with the south line of Tract 1-B, J. Walker Survey; THENCE east and north along the south and east lines of Tract 1-B J. Walker Survey, to the intersection with the south right-of-way line of County Road No. 4040; THENCE east along the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth the south right-of-way line of County Road No. 4040 to its inter- section with the southwesterly right-of-way line of U.S. Highways No. 81 and 287; THENCE southeasterly along the southwesterly right-of-way in? of",...a U.S. Highways No. 81 and 287 to a point 50 feet northwest of the,; fn t�ieX4f:++rE++e' present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth, the north line of the Ted Morris Tract, said tract being as conveyed in the deed recorded in Volume 1682, Page 480 of the Tarrant ,County Deed Records; THENCE west along, in the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth, 50 feet north of and parallel to the north line of said Morris tract, the present city limit lineof the City of Saginaw and along a line 50 feet north of and parallel to the north line of said tract produced west to a point 50 feet west of the west line of said Morris tract produced north; THENCE south along, in the present city limit line of the 6ity of Fort Worth, 50 feet west of and parallel to thewest line of said Morris tract produced north and along a line 50 feet west of and parallel to the west line of said Morris tract, the present city limit line of the City of Saginaw, and along a line 50 feet west of and parallel to the west line of said tract produced south to a point 50 feet north of the north right-of- way line of County Road No. 4125; THENCE west along, in the present city limit line of the City of Fort Worth, 50 feet north of and parallel to the north right-of-way line of County Road No. 4125, to the place of beginning and containing approxi- mately 1.05 square miles. s Section 2. s That this ordinance shall and does hereby amend every prior ordinance in conflict herewith, and more particularly this ordinance expressly amends Ordinance No. 42955, heretofore adopted and passed on July 15, 1963, but as to all other ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith this ordinance shall be and is hereby, made cumulative. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be published one time in a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter. Section 4. If any section, subsection, clause, sentence, phrase, or word of this ordinance is for any reason held void or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections., subsections, clauses, sentences, phrases or words, except as the same are inseparable from and indispensable to the remaining portions'of the ordinance. Section 5. That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publications, as aforesaid, and it is su ordained.
