South Hemphill Heights Neighborhood
The November 6 City Council agenda contains an M &C to initiate the zoning process for the
South Hemphill Heights Neighborhood, west of Hemphill Street and south of Elizabeth
Boulevard/Page Street. The purpose of the proposed zoning changes is to rezone single family

The South Hemphill Heights Neighborhood Association held an informational meeting on October
30, 2007, which was attended by approximately 20 residents and staff At this meeting, the residents
expressed support for the proposed zoning changes.
The public hearings for the rezoning of these properties would be held on January 9, 2008, at the
Zoning Commission meeting and at the City Council meeting of February 5.
