AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE PORTION OF FAIRLANE
AVENUE FROM THE WEST LOT LINES OF LOT 2, BLOCK 7,
AND LOT 2, BLOCK 8, TO THE EAST LOT LINES OF LOT 11,
BLOCK 7, AND LOT 11, BLOCK 8, HOMEWOOD ADDITION TO
THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE
VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSEDf PROVIDING FOR THE RE-
VERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN
SAID LANDi REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE-
WITHi AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That Fairlane Avenue from the west lot lines of Lot 2,
Block 7, and Lot 2, Block 8, to the east lot lines of Lot 11,
Block 7, and Lot 11, Block 8, Homewood Addition to the City
of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same is here-
by closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as a street or
public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee
to the land in said street is hereby released and shall revert
to the adjacent owners of the fee as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage.

Mr. Thomas D. Thompson, Agent, with.-written consent of. all adjoining property
owners, has requested the City to vacate FAirlane Avenue from the west lot
lines of Lot 2, Block 7 and Lot 2, Block .8 to the east lot lines of Lot 11,
Block 7 and Lot 11, Block 8, Homewood Addition, as shown on the attached map.
The subject right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is not open and is 50 feet wide
and 1,050 feet long.
If this request is granted, the Applicant intends to replat the vacated right-of-
way with adjoining property for use as a proposed Mobile Home' Park site.
City departments and private .utility companies have reviewed this request and
have no objection to this vacation, provided the applicant plats the vacated
right-of-way with adjoining property and furnishes all necessary utility
easements.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and reoomlmends adoption of
an ordinance vacating the public right�of-way as requested-, subject to ,the
conditions recommendedabove-by the' City departments and .private utility
companies. The Applicant has submitted..a replat which incorporates the
conditions requested by the City Plan,-Commission.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an:.ordinaate be: adopted- vacating subject .right-of way
as recommended by the- City Plan Coiiti',ssion.
