AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT TOR PORTION OF THE
NORTH-SOUTH ALLEY IN BLOCK 60, FOSTEPCO HEIGHTS
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT
COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM EAST LONG AVENUE NORTHWARD
A DISTANCE OF APPRDXIMATELY ONE HUNDRED Sl=-
FIVE FEET, BE ABANDONED, VACATED AND CLOSEDt
PIOVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF
THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LANDi REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH: AND PRO-
VIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT 09-DAMED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
MRTH, TEXAS
SECTION 1.
That the portion of the n6tthh-south alley in Block 60,
Fostepco Heights Addition to the City of Fort worth, Tarrant
County, Texas, from East Long Avenue northward a distance of
approximately one hundred suety-five feet, be and the same
is hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an alley
or public thoroughfare of any kind or character.
SECTION Z.
That the interest of the City of Fort worth in the fee to
the land in said portion of the alley is hereby released and
shall revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by
law, save and except that easements are reserved for any and
all existing utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage.

Buddies Super Markets, Inc. , has requested that the City vacate a portion
of the north-south alley in Blocks 60 and 74 Fostepco Heights, from East
Long Avenue northward a distance of approximately 165 feet, as shown on
the attach@d map. Subject right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is unim-
proved. Granting of this request will allow the applicant to replat with
adjoining property for utilization as parking area.
There are existing sewer and telephone facilities located in subject
right-of-way. City Departments and private utility companies have re-
viewed this request and have no objections, provided the vacated right-
O+way is retained as an easement for existing utilities.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adop-
tion of an ordinance vacating the public right-of-way as requested. The
applicant has submitted a satisfactory replat.
Recommendation
it is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-
way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
