AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT TEN FEET OF RIGHT-OF-
WAY ABUTTING LOT 8, BLOCK 52, RIDGLEA ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS,
ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF WESTRIDGE AVENUE, BE VACATED,
ABANDONED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION
OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID
LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That ten feet of right-of-way abutting Lot 8, Block 52,
Ridglea Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County,
Texas, along the west side of Westridge Avenue, a length
of 594.44 feet, be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned
and permanently vacated as a public right-of-way of any kind
or character whatever, save and except that easements are re-
served for any and all existing utilities.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to
the land in said public right-of-way is hereby released and
shall revert to the adjacent owner of the fee as provided by
law.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage.

Clinton D. Wright, owner of Lot 8, Block 52, Ridglea Addition, has requested
that the City vacate 10 feet of right-of-way abutting subject lot along the
West side of Westridge Avenue in the 4800-4900 blocks a length of 594.44 feet,
as shown on the attached map.
Subject right-of-way was acquired by dedication and is a portion of the parkway
deemed as surplus right-of-way. There are existing electric facilities located
therein. This request was made in order to assist the development of the
adjoining property. City Departments and all utility companies have reviewed
this request and have no objections. A satisfactory replat has been sumitted.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that an ordi-
nance be adopted vacating the right-of-way as requested.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-way
as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
