AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE EAST-WEST ALLEY
ABUTTING LOTS 8 AND 9, BLOCK 1, F. M. CLARY ADDI-
TION, AND LOTS 10 AND 11, BLOCK 1, GARDEN ADDI-
TION, FROM CHANDLER AVENUE EAST TO BARCLAY AVENUE,
BE ABANDONED, VACATED AND CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR
THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE BATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the east-west alley abutting Lots 8 and 9, Block
1, F. M. Clary Addition, and Lots 10 and 11, Block 1, Garden
Addition, additions to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County,
Texas, which alley is between Chandler Avenue on the west
and Barclay Avenue on the east, be and the same is hereby
vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or pub-
lic thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever.
SECTION 2.
That the interest of the City of Fort worth in the fee
to the land in said alley is hereby released and shall revert
to the adjacent owners of the fee as provided by law, save
and except that easements are reserved for any and all exist-
ing utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage.

The Director of Public Works, with the consent of all abutting property
NINES VALKgywners, has submitted an application requesting that the City vacate the
east-west alley abutting Lots 8 and 9, Block 1, F. M. Clary Addition and
LA K£. Lots 10 and- 11, Block 1, Carden Addition from Chandler Avenue east to
LO Barclay Avenue as shown on the attached map.
The subject alley, acquired by dedication, is neither paved nor open, and
contains telephone, sewer and electrical facilities. The reviewing City
departments and private utility companies have no ob ections to this
request provided the vacated right-of-way is retained as a utility ease-
ment, and the alley at Chandler Avenue is physically closed with standard
curb and gutter when curb and gutter is constructed on the east side of
the street.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends that
an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-way as requested.
Recommendation:
It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-
of-way as recommended by the _City Plan Commission.
