HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 7533 ORDINANCE NO. 7�5 ,3,3 AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING TWO 5' STRIPS OF LAND EACH BEING 122' IN LENGTH, ONE STRIP LYING ADJACENT ON THE EAST TO LOT 8, BLOCK 12, WESTGATE ADDITION, THE OTHER 5' STRIP LYING ADJACENT ON THE WEST TO LOT 1, BLOCK 13, WESTGATE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT EACH OF SAID 5' STRIPS ARE BOUNDED ON THE NORTH BY THE SOUTH LINE OF BRISTOL ROAD AND ON THE SOUTH BY THE NORTH LINE OF THE DEDICATED ALLEY RUNNING EASTERLY AND WESTERLY BETWEEN BLOCKS 12 AND 13, WESTGATE ADDITION AND BLOCKS 24 AND 23, WM. BAILEY ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, SAVE AND EXCEPT THAT EASEMENTS ARE RETAINED IN SAID 5'STRIP FOR ALL EXISTING UTILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, EXISTING ELECTRIC FACILITIES OF TEXAS ELECTRIC SERVICE COMPANY; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That two 5' strips of land each being 122' in length, one strip lying adjacent on the east to Lot 8, Block 12, Westgate Addition, the other 5' strip lying adjacent on the west to Lot 1, Block 13, Westgate Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, that each of said 5' strips bounded on the north by the south line of Bristol Road and on the south by the north line of the dedicated alley running easterly and westerly between Blocks 12 and 13, Westgate Addition and Blocks 24 and 23, Wm. Bailey Addition to the City of Fort Worth, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are retained in said 5' strips for all existing utilities, including but not limited to, existing electric facilities of Texas Electric Service Company be and the same are hereby vacated, abandoned and permanently closed as rights-of-way for street purposes. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in the above described street right-of-way is hereby released and will revert to the ad- jacent owners as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that ease- ments are retained in said 5' strips for all existing utilities including, but not limited to, existing electric facilities of Texas Electric Service Company. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4.
