This resulted in a change to the quantities for the various traffic signal bid items. Requested landscape planting revisions(primarily a reduction in the number of plants)by the City Parks and Recreation department are included in this change order. One of the project goals is to relocate the overhead AT&T lines to underground.It was anticipated that AT&T would require underground conduit for their copper and fiber optic cables.The City's contractor is to install the underground conduit and utility boxes needed to allow AT&T to install the underground cables without AT&T having to remove pavement and install pavement repairs. AT&T completed their relocation design after the project bid. Once AT&T completed their design AT&T noted the City that additional utility boxes(Brooks closer and handholes)were required for the relocation of ovehead lines to underground.AT&T provided the quantities in this change order to the project team. There is an adjancent developement,"The Presidio at Oakhurst Scenic Drive and Race Street"under construction at the northeast comer of the interesection of Race Street and Oakhurst Scenic Drive. This developement is constructing a retaining wall along the north ROW line of Race Street;therefore,the retaining wall at the same location proposed by this project is deleted from the contract with this change order. Additional revisions to the design were necessary to aaromodate the adjacent developement. The addtional revisions included shifting and increasing the size of the developement's proposed driveway connection to Race Street as well as shiftiing the landscape planting beds and light poles to maintain desirable spacing of these elements. Two existing abandoned sign poles within the project area have been added to the removal work for this project. Additioinal tree planting and irrigation along Race Street between Grace Street and Belknap is being added to the project at the request of City management.
