SAS, =ugnela Lenglet has tiled a petition with tbe'Board of Commissioners of the City of Tort North to vacate that portion of otones Street, in North Tort Worth lying between Twnelleth and Twenty -first street, the was being what is known as a "Dead end" of said Jones Street, and MM the said lugenia Lenglet is the owner of all of the block surrounding said portion of said Jones Street, and WHEREAS, no other party or persons own any of the lots abutting on said Jones Street between said Twentieth and Twenty - first Street, and WHEREAS, the said Eugenia Lenglst has Wood to indem- nify and hold the City of Tbli WcrU harmless against any claims for damages to property 000assioned by the closing of said port- ion of said Jon** Street. That all that portion of Jones Street lying between Twentieth and Twenty -first Streets in the City of Tort North, more particularly described as follows, to -Mitt Beginning at a point in the North line of 2bentieth Street said point being the S. _. corner of Lot 3 of Aetna Land Oom- pany's subdivision of Block 198, North-Tort Worth; Thence in a Northerly direction with the hest line of tones Street Mi feet to a point, said point being the Northeast corner of Lot 18 of said subdivision; Thence in an easterly direction parallel with the South line of Twenty -first Street 59 tee! to North- west corner of Lot 14 of said subdivision; thence in a soutAsrly. direction *t the East line of Jones Street 696} feet 'to the Scutthlwest 00 rsr*ot lo! _t said subd3�vision; thence in a Wasldtly 'Ci ins Mith e N'oAL line of Twentieth Street 58 feet to the point of beginning, being a tract 58 feet by 566 -1/2 feet shown as "Jones Street between Twentieth and Twenty -first Street "; also an alley running east and west through said Block between Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and -,83 in said Block, be and the. same is hereby vacated and forever closed. SECTION 2. That in onnsideratioi� of the vacating and closing o$ that portion of Jones Street, set out in Seo- tion One of this ordinance, Eugenie Lenglet, the owner of all th&:lots abutting on that portion of Jones Street, vacated by the terms of this ordinance, hereby agrees and binds herself to indemnify and hold the City of Fort Worth harmless against r any damages, claims or suits for injuries to property which the City of Fort Worth may inour, or to which it may become liable in oonsequenoe of the vacating and closing of said portion -of said Jones Street, and to pay off, discharge and' cancel all Judgments, damages and costs rendered against the City of Fort Worth on account thereof. And the said Eugenie Lenglet shall convey to the City of Fort Worth'foy alley purposes a strip of land described as followsr Block 182; BEGINNING at the southwest corner of said THENCE East 10 feet; THENCE North 116 -1/2 feet; Block 182; THENCE West 10 feet to the west line of THENCE South 116 -1/2 feet to the place of beginning. SECTION 3. That this ordinance take effeot and-be- in force from and after its passage and the filing of a written acceptance of its terms by the said Eugenie Lenglet with the City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth. I hereby certify that-the above and foregoing Ordinance was duly presented passed and adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, at a Regular session of said Board held May 18th„ A.
