AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING
THE 8' UTILITY EASEMENT EXTENDING FROM THE
WEST LINE OF LOT 5, BLOCK 36, RIDGLEA ADDITION
APPROXIMATELY 590' TO THE WEST LINE OF BERNIE
ANDERSON BOULEVARD (SAVE AND EXCEPT FOR A 5'
TEXAS ELECTRIC SERVICE CO. EASEMENT EXTENDING
120' WESTWARD FROM THE WEST LINE OF BERNIE
ANDERSON BLVD.) AND ALSO EXTENDING APPROXIMATELY
261' SOUTHWARD FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF LOT 1R,
BLOCK 36, RIDGLEA ADDITION TO A PIPE AT THE NORTH-
WEST CORNER OF LOT 2, BLOCK 36, RIDGLEA ADDITION,
AS SHOWN ON VOLUME 1049, PAGES 47 AND 49, VOLUME
388-B, PAGE 232, AND VOLUME 388-101, PAGE 21,
DEED RECORDS OF TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS; PROVIDING
FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND; RE-
PEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the 8' utility easement extending from the west line
Of Lot 5, Block 36, Ridglea Addition approximately 590' to the
west line of Bernie Anderson Boulevard (save and except for a
5' Texas Electric Service Co. easement extending 120' westward
from the west line of Bernie Anderson Blvd.) and also extending
approximately 261' southward from the south line of Lot 1R,
Block 36, Ridglea Addition to a pipe at the northwest corner
of Lot 2, Block 36, Ridglea Addition, as shown on Volume 1049,
Pages 47 and 49, Volume 388-B, Page 232, and Volume 388-101,
Page 21, Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, be and the same
is hereby vacated, abandoned and permanently closed as a utility
easement.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in said utility easement is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owners as
provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that easements are retained
for any and all existing utilities.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage, and it is
so ordained.

Mr. James P. Christon, partner with John K. Pearcy, owners of all abutting
property, has requested that the City of Fort Worth vacate an 8' utility
easement extending from the west line of Lot 5, Block 36, Ridglea Addition
approximately 590' to the west line of Bernie Anderson Boulevard (save and
except for a 5' Texas Electric Service Co. easement extending 120' westward
from the west line of Bernie Anderson Boulevard) and also extending appro-
ximately 261' southward from the south line of Lot 1R, Block 26, Ridglea
Addition to a pipe at the northwest corner of Lot 2, Block 36, Ridglea
Addition, as shown on Volume 1049, Pages 47 and 49, Volume 388-B, Page 232,
and Volume 388-101, Page 21, Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and on
the attached map.
The subject easement contains no utilities. This request was reviewed by
City departments and private utility companies and they have no objections.
Recommendation
It is recommended that an Ordinance be adopted vacating the subject easement
as requested.
