AN ORDINANCE FINDING THAT A MAJORITY OF THE PERSONS RE-
SIDING WITHIN CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS
TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, BEING A PARCEL OF LAND OUT OF
THE NORTHWESTERLY CORNER OF THE G. J. ASSABRANNEB SURVEY
TO TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, WHO ARE QUALIFIED TO VOTE FOR
104BERS OF THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS, HAVE
SIGNED A EE TITION IN WRITING REQUESTING THAT THE TERRI-
TORY BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING
FOR THE ANNEXATION OF SAID TERRITORY; AND DESIGNATING
THE EFFECTIVE DATEe
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the City Council finds that the territory and area hereinafter
described in Section 2 is adjoining and contiguous to the corporate limits
of the City of Fort Worth; that more than a majority of the persons resid-
ing within said area who are qualified to vote for members of the Legisla-
ture of the State of Texas have signed a petition in writing, describing
said territory by metes and bounds, and have requested the City Council
of the City of Fort Worth, by an appropriate ordinance, to annex and make
said territory an integral part of the corporate limits of the City of
Fort Worth; and that said application has been duly presented and con-
sidered in strict compliance with the provisions of Section 3, Chapter I
of the Charter of the City of Fort Worth.
SECTION 2.
That the following described territory is hereby annexed, brought
within the corporate limits, and made an integral part of the City of
Fort Worth, said territory being a parcel of land out of the northwesterly
corner of the G. J. Assabranner Survey to Tarrant County, Texas, more
fully described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the present City of Fort Worth
city limit line and the south line of Eastland Avenue ap-
proximately 2400 feet south of Tarrant Road;
Thence east along the south line of Eastland Avenue
approximately 2100 feet to a point opposite the east line
of Edgewood or Burk Road;
Thence north along the east line of Edgewood or Burk
Road approximately 4800 feet to a point in the present City
of Fort Worth city limit line along the south side of Ramey
Street;
Thence west and south along the present City of Fort
Worth city limit line to the place of beginning, and con-
taining approximately 175 acres of land.
SECTION 3•
Municipal improvements will be extended to the area as soon as
development in the area will justify them.
SECTION 4•
This ordinance shall be in fall force and effect from and after
the date of its passage, and it is so ordained.

Dear Sir:
The City Council in session April 16, 1952, adopted
Ordinance No. 2954 annexing 175 acres out of the G. J.
Assabranner Survey. This area was annexed on petition
from the land owners in the area involved.
This ordinance being adopted on petition of the land owners
becomes effective from and after the date of its passage,
and neither a second reading nor publication is required.
A copy of the ordinance is enclosed herewith.
