OFFICIAL RECORD AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 71, FOSTEPCO CITY SECRETARY HEIGHTS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM THE NORTH LINE OF 32ND STREET TO THE PRESENT FT. WORTH, TEX. SOUTH RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF 33RD STREET, BE ABANDONED, VACATED AND CLOSED; AND PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE TO SAID LAND. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the alley in Block 71, Fostepco Heights Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, from the north line of 32nd Street to the present south right of way line of 33rd Street, be and the same is hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever. SECTION 2. ThiLt the fee to the land in said alley above described is hereby re- leased and will revert to the owner as provided by lax, save and except that easements are reserved for all existing utilities, including a 10 foot easement for the existing sanitary sewer main, said easement being measured 5 feet each side of the centerline of said sewer main, and a 15 foot easement for the existing drainage facility, said easement being measured 7-1/2 feet each side of the centerline of the existing drainage facility. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. APPROVED AS TO FORM AND LEGALITY: City Attorney CITY OF FORTWORTH �Mr` Thelin ham TEXAS Mr. Hardy OFFICE OF THE CITY MANAGER Communication to Mayor and Council NO.PWI- 149 March 31, 1961 Honorable Mayor and Re: Closing of Alley in Block 71 Members of the City Council Fostepco Heights Addition City of Fort Worth Mrs. McKnight and Gentlemen: A request has been received from the owner of Block 71, Fostepco Heights Addition, that the alley In Block 71 be closed to permit consolidation and commercial development of the entire block. The Public Works Department and the City Planning Department have investi- gated and have found no objections to the requested closing provided ease- ments are reserved for utilities. The alley requested to be closed is in the block bounded by North Jones Street, Thirty-Second Street, Barth Cal- houn Street, and Thirty Third Street. It is recommended that the necessary ordinance be adopted for the closing of the alley in Block 71, Fostepco Heights Addition, except for utility easements which are to be reserved.
