AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 4, SANDIDGE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF COOPER STREET TO THE NORTH LINE OF VEST TERRELL AVENUE, BE ABAN- DOMED, VACATED AND CLOSEDr PROVIDING FOR THE REVER- SION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LANDr REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITHr AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS t SECTION 1. That the ten foot wide North-South alley in Block 4, San- didge Addition, exuding from the south line of Cooper Street to the north line of west Terrell Avenue, be and the same is hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as an alley or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever. SECTION 2. That the interest of the City of Fort worth in the fee to the land in said portion of the alley is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owners of the fee as provided by law, save and except that easements are reserved for any and all existing utilities. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. A"IM) 1�? Hiett, Savage and Watson; Tom Bond & Associates; and Mr. Ed Dietz have requested the clos- ing of`:the,nbrth-south alley in the block as shown in the attached plat. The request for closing of the alley is to provide additional control of the private clinic parking area which is said to be now used by unauthorized persons. Private utility companies have been contacted and none object to the closing provided easements are retained for existing utilities. The Public Works De- partment, Traffic Engineering Department, Water Department, and Planning De- partment have no objections provided an easement is retained for an existing sanitary sewer. Arrangements have been made for handling garbage 4nd trash pickups by the Waste Disposal Division.
