AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT A PORTION OF BELLAIRE DRIVE SOUTH ADJACENT TO LOT 25, BLOCK 12, BELLAIRE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSEDI PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE INTEREST OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH IN SAID LANDI REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITHI AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT NORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described tract of land, being a part of Bellaire Drive South adjacent to Lot 25, Block 12, Bellaire Addition to the City of Fort worth, Tarrant County, Texas, according to plat recorded in Vol. 204, page 77, of the Plat Records of said County, be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or character whatever: BEGINNING at the northwest corner of Lot 25, Block 12, Bellaire Addition? THENCE north 50.0 feet to a point in a curve to the left; THENCE in an easterly direction along said curve 186.6 feett THENCE south 11.0 feet to the northeast corner of Lot 25, Block 12, said Additions THENCE west 181.68 feet along the north line of Lot 25, Block 12, to the place of beginning. SECTION 2. That the interest of the City of Fort Worth in the fee to the land in said street is hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owners of the fee as provided by law. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or ,parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. FARRIN n ON DATE REFERENCE SUBJECT: Vacation of a Portion of Bellaire PAGE NUMBER pRE► � Drive South Adjacent to Lot 25, Block 1 8/24/70 PZ-403 Bell 1 of REM Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Gilliland, owners of Lot 25, Block 12, Bellaire Addition, have requested that the City vacate a portion of Bellaire Drive South right- of-way abutting said lot, as shown on the attached map. Subject right-of-way, acquired by dedication, is an unimproved portion of the parkway. If this request is granted, the Applicants intend to plat the vacated right-of-way with their adjoining property. d City departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and have no objections provided a 15 foot parkway is retained; the vacated right- of-way is platted with adjoining property; and, all necessary easements are shown on the replat , The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption of an ordinance vacating the public right-of-way as requested. The Applicants have submitted a satisfactory replat. Recommendation It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted vacating subject right-of-way as recommended by the City Plan Commission.
