Eastern Hills Neighborhood
The October 9 Citv Council agenda contains an M&C to initiate the zoning process for portions of the
Eastern Hills Neighborhood, south of Interstate 30 and west of Oak Hill Road. The attached
PowerPoint presentation shows future land use as outlined in the 2007 Comprehensive Plan, as well as
the current and proposed zoning. Councilmernber Scarth would like to initiate rezoning of these areas
in response to neighborhood concerns.
The Eastern Hills Neighborhood Association held an informational meeting on September 18, 2007,
which was attended by Councilmember Scarth, approximately 65 residents, and staff. At this meeting,
the residents expressed full support for the proposed zoning changes.
Public hearings for the rezoning of these properties would be on November 14 at the Zoning
Commission meeting and at the City Council meeting of December 4.
Please contact Dana Burghdoff, Deputy Planning and Development Director, at 817-392-8018, if you
