HomeMy WebLinkAboutIR 8862INFORMAL REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS r, w, �r To the Mayor and Members of the City Council No. 8862 Page 1 of 1 SUBJECT: Proposed Council- Initiated Zoning Changes for the Brentwood -Oak Hills Neighborhood Due to the late start of the scheduled Council meeting on August 9, staff has prepared this Informal Report in lieu of a Pre - Council presentation. An action item to initiate the zoning change for portions of the Brentwood -Oak Hills Neighborhood, south of Interstate 30 and west of Loop 820, has been scheduled of Council consideration on August 14. For your reference, the attached PowerPoint presentation shows the future land use from the 2007 Comprehensive Plan, the current zoning, and the proposed zoning. Councilmember Scarth would like to initiate rezoning of these areas, in response to neighborhood concerns. The Brentwood -Oak Hills neighborhood association held an informational meeting on July 26, 2007, which was attended by Councilmember Scarth, approximately 30 residents, and staff. At this meeting, the residents expressed full support for the proposed zoning changes.
