AN ORDINANCE REGULATING AND LIMITING THE
TIME TO FORTY FIVE MINUTES AND PRESCRIB-
ING THE MODE IN WHICH A VEHICLE HAY BE
PARKED ON THOOCEMORTON STREET BETWEEN
WEATHERFORD STREET AND TWELFTH STREET AND
ON CCMMER.CE STREET BETWEEN WEATHERFORD
STREET AND FIFTEENTH STREET AND DEFINING
THE LIMITS ON SUCH STREETS WITHIN WHICH
PARKING IS PROHIBITED, AND PROVIDING A
PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF, AND PRO-
VIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE CUMU-
LATIVE WITH ALL OTHER TRAFFIC ORDINANCES
EXCEPT WHERE IN DIRECT CONFLICT WITH THE
PROVISIONS HEREOF; AND FURTHER PROVIDING
THAT ALL ORJDINANCES OR PORTIONS THEREOF
IN CONX ICT WITH THE PROVISIONS HEREOF
SHALL BE DEED PEALED IN SO FAR AS SUCH
CONFLICT EXISTS An PROVIDING THAT THE
HOLDING OF ANY ORTION HEREOF TO BE IN-
VAIID :SHALL NOT AFFECT THE VALIDITY OF
ANY OTHER PORTION OR PROVISION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH:
SECTION I
Definitions. Unless it appears from the
oontext that a different meaning is intended, the fol-
lowing words *hall have the meanings attwhed to them
by this seotion:
(a) The term "ouvb" shall mean the edge of
a roadway or street marked, designated or otherwise
oommonlF understood to be suoh.
(b) The test 'vehicle° shall mean and in-
olude any automobile, truck or conveyance of any kind
or aha '� and including a house.
(a) The word °to park* as hereinabove used
means to stop, stand, remain or occupy a certain posi-
tion on any portion of the streets deeignated.
(d) The term *head in parking' as herein-
above used means that said vehicle shall be stationed
with the front of said vehicle neat to the ourb and
$hall occupy a position at right angles to the ourb
line of said street.
SECTION II
It shall be unlaxful for the driver of any
vehicle to permit the same to be parked, stand or
remain for a period of in excess of forty-five minutes
on Throokmorton street between Weatherford Street and
Twelfth Street or on Commerce Street between Weather-
ford Street amd Fifteenth Street between the hours of
8:00 a• m. ax:d 6:30 p. m. except on Sundays in any
place where the parking of vehicles is permitted under
the teer-ae of this ordinance.
SECTION III
On Throokmorton street between its Inter-
sections with Weatherford Street and Seventh Street
all vehicles -shall be parked parallel to the curb on
each side of Throckmorton Street.
On Throokmorton Street between its inter-
sections with Seventh and Eighth Streets parking is
t=&_y prohibited on moth sides of Throokmorton Street.
On Throokmorton Street between its inter-
sections with Eighth Street and Ninth Street all
vehicles suet be parked parallel to the curb on the
west side of Throokmorton Street. Parking of vehicles
is prohibited on the west side of Throokmorton Street
between its intersections with Ninth Street and Tenth
Street in front of the city hall. And on the east
side of Throokmorton Street all vehicles shall be
parked parallel to the curb from Eighth Street south
to the alley intersecting Throokmorton Street between
Eighth and Ninth Streets. from said alley south to
the intersection of Throckmorton Street with Ninth
Street on the east aide of said street all parking
is prohibited. On Throokmorton Street from its inter-
section with Ninth Street to Tenth Street on the
esst sid of said street parallel parking of vehicles
is pexamitted.
On Throokmorton Street from Tenth Street to
Twelfth Street all vehicles must be parked head in
toward the ourb on the east side of Throokmorton Street.
Parking of vehicles is prohibited on the west
side of Throokmorton Street between its interseotlon
with Tenth and Twelfth Streets.
SECTION IQ
All vehicles on Commerce Street between its
Intersections with Weatherford Street and Fifteenth
Street shall be parked parallel to the curbs on both
side$ of Commerce Street.
SECTION V
AzV person who shall violate any of the pro-
visions of this ordinance shall be $eemed guilty of a
misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shell be
punished by a fine of not exceeding $100.00.
SECTION VI
All ordinances in so far as the same or
portions of the same shall be in oonfliot with this
• ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of suoh
conflict.
SECTION VII
This ordinance is hereby declared to be
cumulative of all other ordinances regulating traffic
upon the streets of the City of Fort Worth except
who" the same are in oonflict with the provisions
of this ordinance.
SECTION VIII
Should any section or part of section of
this ordinance be declared to be invalid by any court
of oompetent jurisdiction, shah decision or judgment
shall not affeot the remaining seotions or pa of
sections of this ordinanos whioh shall oontinue to be
in full force and effeot.
SECTION IX
1 This ordinance shall beoome effeotive as
to all streets and portions of streets herein pro-
vided from and after its passage and five daps publi-
oation as provided by law.
