• AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 68 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 1692, SAME BEING THE TRAFFIC CODE OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, BY CHANGING SAID
SECTION AS SHOWN BELOW; PROVIDING THAT MOTOR
BUSES SHALL STOP FOR THE PURPOSE OF PICKING
UP OR DISCHARGING PASSENGERS ONLY AT STREET
INTERSECTIONS ON NEAR SIDE OF INTERSECTION;
GIVING CHIEF OF POLICE AUTHORITY TO DESIGNATE
OTHER STOPS; PROVIDING FOR THESE STOPS SO DESIG_
HATED TO BE MARRED BY THE INDIVIDUAL OR ORGANI-
ZATION IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION OF SAID MOTOR
BUSES; PROVIDING THE MANNER IN WHICH SAID MOTOR
BUSES SHALL STOP AT DESIGNATED PLACES; FJU3E LING
ORDINANCE IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING A PEN-
ALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF; AND PROVIDING THE
EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION I.
That Section 68 of Ordinance No. 1692 be amended so that
said section shall read as follows:
SECTION 68. - MOTOR BUSES STOPPING.
A11 stops by motor buses within the City of
Fort North for the purpose of taking on or dis-
charging passengers shall be made at street inter-
sections on the right side of the street along which
the bus is traveling and on the near side of the
intersecting street; except at such other locations
as may be designated by the Chief of Police of the
City of Fort North; such stops not located at the
near side of street intersections as may be desig-
nated by the Chief of Police shall be marked as Bus
Stops by the individual or organization in charge of
the operation of such motor buses; and before making
any stop for the purpose of taking on or discharging
passengers, motor buses shall pull in as near the
street curb upon the right-hand side of the motor bus
making said stop as possible, and shall stop as near
said right-hand curb as possible; and, when a motor
bus is making such a stop, such motor bus shall stop
in such a place as to interfere with the vehicular traffic
on the street on which said motor bus is traveling as
little as possible; but no part of any motor bus shall
be stopped so as to obstruct traffic on any intersect-
ing street except when such stops shall be necessary
for the purpose of protecting life or property.

SECTION II.
That this ordinance shall be c unulative of all the pro-
visions in Ordinance No. 1692 and any other ordinance of the
City of Fort Worth relating to motor buses, except in those in-
stances where the provisions of this ordinance are in direct
conflict with such provisions, in which instances said conflict-
ing provisions are expressly repealed.
SECTION III.
Any persons violating any provisions of this ordinance
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof shall be fined not to exceed the sum of One Hundred
Dollars ($100.00).
SECTION IV.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect from and after the date of its passage and publication as
required by law.
