Stormwater Management City of Fort Worth 1000 Throckmorton Street Fort Worth, Texas 76102 RE: JP No.08004;WARNER CHANNEL STUDY; STUDY NO.SWS-011;REQUEST FOR CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO.2; FORT WORTH,TEXAS Dear Steve: Pursuant to our meeting on November 6, 2014 to review the status and remaining work needed for the Warner Channel Study, SWS-011, we are submitting this request to your office for an amendment to our engineering services contract for this project. The additional services to be provided by our firm are necessary to comply with the changes in project scope as described below. 1. Requirement to place flow change locations at the corresponding HEC-HMS junction location. Previously, flow changes were included in the HEC RAS models prepared for this study at the 113 or point in the reach between junction locations. This change will result in a change in discharges for all frequency floods at almost all cross sections for both existing and proposed channel conditions. Flood elevations will change throughout the channel reach. All tables and figures showing floodplain extents and flood profiles will be modified. The narrative will be updated to document the new flow change location requirement. 2. Incorporation of AECOM Study Results into Wamer Channel Model. On April 15-16, 2013' AECOM provided the stream centerline,TIN,LIDAR points, contours, cross sections, 100-year and 500-year floodplain boundaries for Zoo Creek downstream of Warner Channel on the west side of Forest Park Boulevard. This information was not available previously. The information will be utilized in conjunction with the new revision to the downstream study limits described below. 3. Revise downstream study limits to downstream end of Forest Park Boulevard culvert. The downstream study limits were originally at the upstream side of Forest Park Boulevard as described in the preliminary report submittals. An approximate culvert model was prepared at Forest Park Boulevard to establish water surface elevations on the upstream side of the roadway. As reported above AECOM has furnished flood information data in Zoo Creek downstream of Forest Park Boulevard. This information includes discharges, cross sections, survey data on the culvert outfall as well as flood levels in Zoo Creek. JPCE will revise the models prepared for Warner Channel to begin the study at the downstream side of the Forest Park Boulevard culvert and incorporate information provided by AECOM as well as updating the culvert model at Forest Park Boulevard. For mapped floodplain limits, JPCE will show limits of flooding across Forest Park Boulevard from flood events that overtop the road and tie these into floodplain limits in Zoo Creek determined by AECOM. 1301 S. Update tables and figures per requirements in the latest Open Channel Studies Submittal List. The information required on figures and tables to be included in the report has evolved over the course of this study. Information will be included in figures and tables as discussed in our meeting on November 6, 2014. 5. Update report for all modifications made to the models and study procedures. Jerry Parche' Consulting Engineers requests an additional fee of$32,000.00 for the additional services described herein. We will expedite addressing all of the comments in your memorandum of August 15,2014 as discussed, and as modified, at our meeting on November 6, 2014. Thank you for your consideration of this request. Please contact me if you have any questions or require additional information. Sincerely, )Jerry Parche', P.E.
