AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING CERTAIN
TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING
THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED
IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40,
CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City
of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and
made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being
situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds
as follows:
A tract of land out of the J. Bursey Survey, in Tarrant
County, Texas, described as follows:
Beginning at a point 787 feet north and 30 feet west of
the southeast corner of the J. Bursey Survey, in Tarrant
County, Texas, said beginning point being the northeast corner
of the present city limits of Fort Worth, Tarrant County,
Texas, and being in the west line of Deen Road;
Thence north along said west line of Deen Road 1498 feet,
more or less, to corner at the point of intersection with
the southerly line of Terminal Road;
Thence north 55 degrees west 670 feet, more or less, along
said southerly line of Terminal Road to corner;
Thence west 2008 feet, more or less, along south line of
said Terminal Road to fence corner and the northwest corner of
the property herein described;
Thence south 1887 feet, more or less, along west line of
said property to a point in the north line of the present city
limits of Fort Worth, Texas;
Thence east 2557 feet, more or less, along said city limit
line to the point of beginning, containing 112 acres of land.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be published one time in The Fort Worth Press,
a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with
the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect.
upon itf final passage; which in no event shall be less than thirty (30)
days from the dath of its publication as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
