AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING
CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A
DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXPIII OF THE CITY
CHARTER; AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the
City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate
limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory
being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and
bounds as follows:
Beginning at a point in the present Fort Worth city
limit line, said point being at the intersection of the
south right of way line of Terminal Road and the west
right of way line of Deen Road;
Thence north along the west right of way line of Deen
Road to its intersection with the north right of way line
of Terminal Rod;
Thence in a northwesterly and westerly direction along
the north right of way line of Terminal Road to a point 1806
feet east of the west line of the John Bursey Survey;
Thence north 36 degrees 45 minutes west 1320 fSet;
Thence north 53 degrees 15 minutes east 240 feet;
Thence north 36 degrees 45 minutes west 760 feet to the
south right of way line of the Fort Worth and Denver Rail-
road spur line;
Thence in a northwesterly and westerly direction along
the south right of way line of said spur line to its inter-
section with the east right of way line of State Highway
F. M. No. 156 (Blue Mound Road);
Thence south along the east right of way line of said
highway to its intersection with the south right of way
line of Terminal Road;
Thence east along the south right of way line of Terminal
Road to its intersection with the west right of way line
of Decatur Avenue, said point being in a corner of the
present City of Fort Worth city limit line;
Thence east along the south right of way line of Terminal
Road and along the present City of Fort Worth city limit
line to the place of beginning, and containing approximately
0.32 square mile or 204 acres of land more or less.
SECTION 2.
That this ordinance shall be published one time in the Fort Worth
Star-Telegram, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in
accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City
Charter.
SECTION 3•
That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force
and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than
thirty (30) days from the date of its publication as aforesaid, and it is
so ordained.
