HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 3881 ORDINANCE NO.JaOSL AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3011, BEING AN ORDINANCE TO REGULATE AND RESTRICT THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES, AND LAND FOR TRADE, INDUSTRY, RESIDENCE, OR OTHER PURPOSES, THE HEIGHT, NUMBER OF STORIES AND SIZE OF BUILDINGS AND OTHER STRUCTURES, THE SIZE OF YARDS AND OTHER OPEN SPACES, OFF-STREET PARKING AND LOADING AND THE DENSITY OF POPULATION; AND FOR SAID PURPOSES TO DIVIDE THE MUNICIPALITY INTO DISTRICTS OF SUCH NUMBER, SHAPE AND AREA AS MAY BE DEEMED BEST BY FIRING DEFINITE USES OF THE BUILDINGS HEREINAFTER ERECTED IN SAID DESCRIBED AREAS FROM THE USES AS SHOWN ON THE MAPS CONTAINED IN SAID ORDINANCE NO. 3011; PRESCRIBING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING A FINE OF NOT LESS THAN $5.00 NOR MORE THAN $200.00 FOR EACH OFFENSE, AND THAT EACH DAY THAT A VIOU71ON IS PERMITTED TO EXIST SHALL CONSTITUTE A SEPARATE OFFENSE; AND NAMING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FMT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 3011 be amended so that the following described uses in the hereinafter described areas be altered, changed and amended as follows to wit: AREAS FROM TO No. 5"-77. Approximately 905 acres west of Lake Arlington and east of Cravens Road; and between Collett-Little Road on the south and north line of Handley Heights South Addition on the north, annexed to the City of Fort Worth by Ordinance No. 3720, November 15, 1957, Annexed "B" except the following: Area 1. Lots 1, 18 and 19, Block A, Melody Oaks Addition; 2. (a) That portion of Tract 3-A-1, J. M. Daniel Survey, being within the Annexed Area; (b) N.200t of gract.8; J. X. Aaniel Survey; (c) N. 200t of the E.6309 of Tract 6; J. M. Daniel Survey; and 3. Lots 1 and 2, Block 1; Lots 1, 2, 21 and 22, Block 2; Lots 1, 2, 12 and 13, Block 3; Lots 1 and 11, Block 8; and Lots 1 and 2, Block 9; Sun Valley Addition Annexed ffE" Area SECTION 2. The zoning regulations and districts, as herein established, have been made in accordance with a comprehensive plan for the purpose of promoting health, safety, morals and the general welfare of the community. They have been designed to lessen congestion in the streets; to secure safety from fire, panic and other dangers; to provide adequate light and air; to prevent the overcrowding of land; to avoid undue concentration of population; to facilitate the adequate provision of transportation, water, sewerage, parks and other public requirements. They have been made with reasonable consideration, among other things, of the character of the district and its peculiar suitability for the particular uses and with a view of conserving the value of buildings and encouraging the most appropriate use of land through the community. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be cumulative of all other ordinances of the City of Fort Worth affecting zoning and shall not repeal any of the provisions of said ordinances except in those instances where provisions of those ordinances are in direct conflict with the provisions of this ordinance. SECTION k. Should any section, clause or provision of this ordinance be declared by the Court to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any part thereof, other than the part so declared to be invalid. SECTION 5. Any person, firm or corporation ih o violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be fined not less than Five and NOAOO Dollars ($5.00) nor more than Two Hundred and NoAOO Dollars ($200.00) for each offense. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense. SECTION 6. This Ordinance will take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as required by law.
