HomeMy WebLinkAboutIR 8822INFORMAL REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS RWt To the Mayor and Members of the City Council No. 8822 February 6, 2007 Page 1 of 1 SUBJECT: UPDATE AND COMPARISON OF CITY OF FORT WORTH SALARIES AND POVERTY THRESHOLDS The Human Resources Department has been tasked to compare its lowest paid employees to the poverty threshold developed by the Department of Health & Human Services. The 2007 Federal Poverty Guidelines for a family of four, per the Department of Health and Human Services, is $20,650 /year. The, classifications with the lowest annual salary here at the City of Fort Worth are the Custodian and Library Page. The salary range for both of these classifications is from $21,736 to $ $30,680. Currently, the lowest paid employee at the City is making $22,818. There are actually seven employees who are paid at this level. These employees are currently classified as either an Office Assistant I (Library Department), Community Health Worker (Public Health), or as a Public Events Attendant (Convention Center and Parks and Community Services).
