HomeMy WebLinkAboutIR 8821el INFORMAL REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS NO. 8821 ooa* ,% To the Mayor and Members of the City Council January 30, 2007 a Page 1 of 1 x ..,s SUBJECT: PROPOSED 2007 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN The purpose of this report is to provide the City Council with information about the proposed 2007 Comprehensive Plan in anticipation of the Council's February 6 public hearing on this subject. On January 24, 2007, the City Plan Commission recommended adoption of the 2007 Comprehensive Plan public hearing draft with the following two amendments: • Appendix C, Arlington Heights Sector.- Change the future land use designation for certain property located on the north and south sides of Byers Street between Eldridge and Sanguinet Streets (District 7) from general commercial to neighborhood commercial and open space. (See attached map Exhibit A) • Appendix C, TCU/Westcliff Sector.- Change the future land use designation for certain property located south of Rosedale Street and east of the Fort Worth & Western Railroad tracks (District 9) from light industrial to mixed -use growth center. (See attached map Exhibit A) If necessary after the February 6 public hearing, staff will brief the City Council at its February 13 W re- Council meeting on our responses to any comments received at the public hearing. On ebruary 20, the City Council will consider an ordinance to adopt the 2007 Comprehensive Plan.
