HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 1334 r ORDINANCE NO, AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT A POIUION OF FIFTH AVENUE DOUTH OF DICKSON STREET BE ABANDONED CLOSED AND VACATED AND PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES OR PORTIONS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. I. WHEREAS, it appearing to the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, that that portion of Fifth Avenue just south of Dickson Street hereinafter described has been closed for more than twenty-five years and has never been used as a street or public thoroughfare. That it is to the best inter- est of the public that said portion of said street be closed, abandoned and vacated as a pu bi is thoroughfare. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH: SECTION I. That that portion of Fifth Avenue, north of Dickson Street and south of Lot 11, Silver Lake Addition, more particular- ly described as follows: A parcel of land out of the South Fort Worth Addition, to the City of Fort Worth, 'rerrant t%ount , 'Texas. Said parcel of land being that portion of Fil Avenue lying north of Dickson Street and south of Lot 11, Silver Lake Addition, more fully described as follows: Beginning at a point the southeast corner of Lot 7, Block 52, South Fort Worth Addition; Thence north along the east line of said lot a distance of 120 feet more or less to a point the northeast corner of said lot• thence in an easterly direction along the south line of Lot 11 Silver Lake Addition a distance of 61 feet to a point tie north- west corner off` Lot 12, Block 51, South Fort Worth Addition thence south along the west line of said Lot 12 a distance of 1.t2 feet more or less to a point the south- west corner of said Lot 12• thence west along the north line of Dickson Street produced a distance of 60 feet to the place of beginning. be and the same is hereby vacated, closed and permanently aban- doned as a street or public thoroughfare of any kind or character.. SECTION II. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in confliatt herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION III.
