HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 1870 ORDINANCE NO* _ +? � AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 26, RYAN'S SOUTHEAST ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BETWEEN EVAYS AVENUE AND NEW YORE AVENUE, BE VADATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED, AND EXCEPTING THE RIGFTS OF ALL PUBLIC UTILITIES MMETO- FORE ACQUIRED IN SAID ALLEY, AND PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT BEREWITH, AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHAM BECOME EFFECTIVE 3120DIATELY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION I. That in order to promote and protect the public safety, and particularly the safety of public school pupils and teachers attending the school or schools established by the Fort Worth Independent School District on a school site which it has acquired in Ryan's Southeast Addi- tion to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, the alley in Block 26, Ryan's Southeast Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, between Evans Avenue and New York Avenue shall be and is hereby vacated, abandoned and closed. SECTION II. That the rights of all public utilities for the purpose of con- struoting and maintaining service lines shall not be disturbed, destroyed, revoked, or abrogated by any of the provisions of this ordinance, but said rights as above set out shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION III. That the fee to the land in said alley shall revert as provided by law. SECTION IV. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION V. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage.
