AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT CERTAIN STREETS AND ALLEYS ALONG
THE WEST SIDE OF THE TRINITY RIVER FROM EAST FOURTH STREET
SOUTH TO THE C. R. I. & G. R. R., BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND
CLOSED; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING
THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the following described streets and alleys along the west side
of the Trinity River from East Fourth Street south to the C. R. I. & G.
R. R., be and the same are hereby closed, abandoned and permanently vacated
as streets, alleys or public thoroughfares of any kind or character what-
ever:
The ten foot alley south of Lots 8 and 9 in Block 9
of Shady Park Addition;
An unnamed street forty feet wide north of Block 10
of Shady Park Addition;
Heathcote Street from a line from the southwest corner
of Lot 17, Block 7, Shady Park Addition, to the northwest
corner of Lot 8, Block 9 of said addition east to Darter
Street;
The ten foot alley in Block 7, Shady Park Addition,be-
tween Lots 8, 9, 17 and 18;
Baby Street from a line from southwest corner of Lot 30,
Block 4, Shady Park Addition, to the northwest corner of
Lot 81 Block 7 of said addition east to Darter Street;
The ten foot alley through Block 2 of the J. E. H. Allen
Subdivision;
River Front Avenue along the east line of Block 2,
J. E. H. Allen Subdivision; and
Darter Street from the south line of Trolley Street to
the C. R. I. & G. Railway Company right of way.
SECTION 2.
That the fee to the land in said streets and alleys is hereby released
and will revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law, save and except
that easements are retained for any existing utility lines.
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed..
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect
from and after the date of its passage.

The City Council in session July Us 1956s authorized you to prepare the
necessary ordinance closing certain streets and alleys along the west side
r of the Trinity River, from Fourth Street to C.R.I. & G. Railroad, and also
retaining easements for ary existing utility lines, as follows:
1. The ten foot alley south of Lot 8 and 9 in Block 9 of
Shady Park Addition.
2. An unnamed street, forty feet wide north of block 10
of Shady Park Addition
3, Heathcote Street from a line from the southwest corner
of Lot 170 Block 7s Shady Park Addition to the northwest
corner of Lot 8, Block 9 of said addition east to Darter
Street.
$. The ten foot alle in Block 7s Shady Park Addition between
Lots 8,9,17 and .
5. Baby Street from a line from southwest corner of Lot 30s
Block 4, Shady Park Addition to the northwest corner of
Lot 8, Block 7 of said additions east to Darter Street,
6. The ten foot all through Block 2 of the J. E. H. Allen
Subdivision,
7. RiverFront Avenut along the east line of Block 2s
41 J. E. H. Allen Subdivision.
8. Darter Street from the south line of Trolley Street to
the C. R. I. & G. Railway Company right-of-way.
