AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING A
STRIP OF LAND ONE HUNDRED (100) FEET IN WIDTH LYING ADJA-
CENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH AND AMENDING ORDINANCES
Nos. 319!, 3215 AND 3291; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF PRIOR
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDI-
NANCE BE CUMULATIVE OF EXISTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING THAT
THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED
IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40,
CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City
of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and
made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being
situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds
as follows:
Beginning at a point in the east line of Alta Vista Road
(County Road #3053) and its intersection with the south line
of the G. B. Stanley Survey, said point being in the west
city limit line of Haltom City and the northerly line of the
Fort Worth city limit line;
Thence north along the east line of Alta Vista Road to the
south line of County Road 14022;
Thence east 7850.0 feet along the south line of County
Road #4022 to the east line of the Texas & Pacific and M. K. & T.
Railroad Companies right-of-way;
Thence south 7 degrees west 5380.0 feet along the east line
of said railroad right-of-ways to the north line of the A. Hood
Survey;
Thence east 3440.0 feet along the north line of the A. Hood
and E. M. D. King Survey to the northeast corner of the E. M. D.
King Survey;
Thence south along the east lines of the E. M. D. King, S.
Sawyer and H. F. Largent Surveys to a point, said point being the
northwest corner of the W. 0. Reeves Tract;
Thence east along the north line of said W. 0. Reeves Tract
to a point, said point being 100 feet north of State Highway #321;
Thence in a southwesterly direction 100 feet north of and
parallel to the northerly line of State Highway #121 to a point,
said point being 100 feet west of the center line of Fossil Creek;
Thence in a southerly direction 100 feet west of and parallel
to the center line of Fossil Creek, a point 100 feet west of the
east line of the G. Akers Survey;
Thence south 100 feet west and parallel to the east lines of
the G. Akers, G. B. Stanley, H. B. Tuggle and W. R. Reeder Surveys
to a point 100 feet north of the center line of the Trinity River;
Thence in a westerly direction 100 feet northerly of and
parallel to the center line of said Trinity River, following the
meanders thereof, to the south line of the S. Elliot Survey;
Thence west along the south line of the S. Elliot Survey to
the southwest corner thereof;
Thence north along the west line of said S. Elliot Survey
to a point in the south line of Haltom Road, said point being
in the present City of Fort Worth city limits;
Thence in an easterly, northerly, westerly and southerly
direction along a line parallel to and 100 feet from the above
described line in a reverse direction to a point in the present
City of Fort Worth city limit line, said point being 100 feet
west of the east line of Alta Vista Road and the north line of
the N. Johnson Survey;
Thence east 100 feet along the north line of said N. John-
son Survey to the place of beginning.
SECTION 2.
That this ordinance shall constitute an amendment and revision of
Ordinances Nos. 3194, 3215 and 3291 and shall repeal every other prior ordi-
nance in conflict herewith, but only insofar as the portions of such prior
ordinances shall be in conflict herewith, and as to all other sections of or-
dinances not in direct conflict herewith, this ordinance shall be and is here-
by made cumulative.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall be published one time in the Fort Worth
Star-Telegram, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in ac-
cordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City
Charter.
SECTION 4.
That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and
effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty
(30) days from the date of its publication as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
