HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 3660 ORDINANCE NO. 3 b lot) AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS AND ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE QRDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAXER PUBLISHED IN $AID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 4Q, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described territory lying ad3acent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at a point in the southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 10, Ridgecrest Addition, said point being in a corner of the present City of Fort Worth city limit line; .Thence south 67 degrees 41 minutes east 300 feet to a point in the easterly right of way line of U. S. 377, said point also being in the present city limit line; Thence in a northeasterly direction along the easterly right of way line of U. S. 377 and along the present city limit line approximately 200 feet to a corner in the present city limit line; Thence in a northwesterly direction along the present city limit line and along the southerly right of way line of Ewing Street approximately 300 feet to a corner in the present city limit line, said point being the northeast corner of Lot 3, Block 10, Ridgecrest Addition; Thence south 24 degrees 29 minutes west along the present city limit line 200 feet to the point of beginning, and con- taining approximately 1.38 acres of land. SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall be published one time in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in ac- cordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publication as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
