AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS
AND ANNEX]NG CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT
TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH: PROVIDING THAT THE
ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER
PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
PROVISIONS OF SECTION 4Q, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE
CITY CHARTER: AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
Section 1.
That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of
Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made
an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in
Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the present City of Fort
Worth city limit line, said point being the northwest
corner of the Dallas Fort Worth Toll Road and Ederville
Road (County Road No. 2054);
THENCE north along the present City of Fort Worth
city limit line and along the westerly right of way line
of Ederville Road (County Road No. 2054) to the north
line of Randol Mill Road (County Road No. 2021);
THENCE westerly with the north line of Randol Mill
Road (County Road No. 2021) to the east line of the
Handley-Ederville Road (County Roa d No. 3054);
THENCE northerly along the east line of the Handley-
Ederville Road (County Road No. 3054) to the south line
of Midway Road (County Road No. 3007);
THENCE westerly along the south line of Midway Road
(County Road No. 3007) to a point in the east line of the
G. B. Stanley Survey; said point being also in the east
line of a 100' strip of land around Haltom City described
in Ordinance No- 3561;
THENCE south along the east line of the G. B. Stanley,
H. B. Tuggle and W. R. Reeder Surveys and along the east
line of said 100' strip to the centerline of the Trinity
River;
THENCE along the center line of the Trinity River in
a generally westerly direction and along the southerly line
of said 100' strip to a point 100' south of the south line
of the S. Elliott Survey;
THENCE west parallel to and 100' south of the south
line of the S. Elliott Survey crossing the east line of "the
Tinsley Survey and along the south line of said 100' strip
to a point 100' west of the east line of the Tinsley Survey;
THENCE north 100' west of and parallel to the east line
of the Tinsley Survey and along the west line of the said
100' strip to a point in the present City of Fort Worth city
limit line, said point being in the north line of the Howard-
Haltom Road (County Road No. 3084);
THENCE along the present City of Fart Worth city limit
line in a westerly, southerly and southwesterly direction along
the northerly and westerly line of the Howard Haltom Road (County
Road No. 3084) and along the westerly line of said road extended
to a point in the south line of East First Street;
THENCE along the present City of Fort Worth city
limit line east along the south line of East First Street
to a point, said point being in the east line of a tract
of land owned by the City of Fort Worth upon which is
situated a sewage disposal plant;
THENCE south along the east line of said tract, along
the present City of Fort Worth city limit line, approxi-
mately 2695' to a point, said point being 300' north of
and parallel to the north line of the Wm. Edwards Survey
extended to the west;
THENCE along the present City of Fort Worth city
limit line east 300' north of and parallel to the north
line of the Wm. Edwards Survey extended to the west and
300' north of and parallel to the north line of the Wm.
Edwards Survey to a point, said point being 300' north of
the northeast corner of the Wm. Edwards Survey;
THENCE along the present City of Fort Worth city
limit line and south along the east line of the Wm. Edwards
Survey extended north and along the east line of the Wm.
Edwards Survey to the north right of way line of the Dallas-
Fort Worth Toll Road;
THENCE east along the north right of way line of the Dallas-
Fort Worth Toll Road to a point in the west line of the Eder-
ville Road (County Road No. 2054), said point being the place
of beginning and containing approximately 4.7 square miles.
Section 2.
That this ordinance shall be published one time in The Fort Worth Press,
a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, in accordance with the
provisions of Section 40, Chapter XXVIII of the City Charter.
Section 3.
That this ordinance shall be and become effective and be in full force
and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty
(30) days from the date of its publication, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
