CERTAIN TERRITORY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH; PROVIDING THAT THE ORDINANCE BE ADVERTISED IN A DAILY NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 40, CHAPTER XXVIII OF THE CITY CHARTER; AND PRESCRIBING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described territory lying adjacent to the City of Fort Worth is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of said City of Fort Worth, said territory being situated in Tarrant County, Texas, and being described by metes and bounds as follows: Being a tract of land about 12 miles south from the Court House of Tarrant County, Texas, and lying in the G. Hernandez, G. Hamilton, John Sise, J. Jennings, S. A. and M. G. R.R. Co., Henry Lane, William Stone, John Steele, Sarah Gray, I. and G. N. R.R. Co., H. Alsbury, C. Martin, and H. G. Catlett No. S-157 Surveys in Tarrant and Johnson Counties, Texas. BEGINNING at a point in the present City of Fort Worth City Limit Line, at its intersection with the east line of the M. K. and T. R.R. Co. right-of-gray, in the G. Hernandez Survey; THENCE southerly along the easterly line of the M. K. and T. R.R. Co. right-of-way to its intersection with the south line of Tarrant County, Texas; THENCE west along the south line of Tarrant County, Texas to its intersection with the northeasterly line of the H. G. Catlett Survey No. S-151; THENCE northwesterly along the northeasterly line of the H. G. Catlett Survey No. S-151 to its north corner, the east corner of the H. Alsbury Survey; THENCE southwesterly along the southeasterly line of the H. Alsbury Survey, crossing the Tarrant-Johnson County line, to the south corner of the said Alsbury Survey, in Johnson County, being also the east corner of the H. G. Catlett Survey No. S-157; THENCE southwesterly along the southeasterly line of the H. G. Catlett Survey No. 5457 to its south corner; THENCE northwesterly along the southwesterly line of the H. G. Catlett Survey No. S-•157 to its intersection with the east line of the M. K. and T. R.R. Co. right-of-way. THENCE northerly along the east line of the M. K. and T. R.R. Co. right-of-way to its intersection with the south line of Tarrant County; THENCE east along the south line of Tarrant County to its intersection with the westerly right-of-way of County Road No. 1017; THENCE northeasterly along the northwesterly right-of- way line of County Road No. 1017 to its intersection with the west line of the William Stone Survey produced south; p S THENCE northerly, crossing the John Steele Survey, to and along the crest line of the William Stone Survey to the most southerly east corner of the Henry Lane Survey, THENCE west along the south line of the Henry Lane Survey to its intersection with the east line of the H. Walker Survey produced south; THENCE north, crossing the Henry Lane Survey, to and along the east line of the H. Walker Survey, and continuing along the east line of said Survey to its north corner; THENCE west along the north line of said Survey to the most easterly south corner of the Jose A. Gill Survey; THENCE north along the east line of the Jose A. Gill Survey to its northeast corner; THENCE west along the north line of the Jose A. Gill Survey to its intersection with the east line of the G. C. and S. F. R.R. Co. right-of-way, THENCE northeasterly along the easterly line of the G. C. and S. F. R.R. Co. right-of-way to its intersection with the north line of the S. A. and M. G. R.R. Co. Survey; THENCE east along the north line of the S. A. and M. G. R.R. Co. Survey and continuing along said line produced east to its intersection with the westerly line of the M. K. and T. R.R. Co. right-of-ray; THENCE northeasterly along the *esterly line of the M. K. and T. R.R; Co. right-of-gray to its intersection with the present City of Fort Worth City Limit Line pro- duced west, in the G. Hernandez Survey, THENCE east to the place of beginning and containing approximately 4e6 square miles. SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall and does hereby repeal every prior ordinance in conflict herewith and more particularly this ordinance expressly repeals Ordinance No. 4305 heretofore adopted and passed on June 22, 1960, but as to all other ordinances or sections of ordinances not in direct conflict herewith this ordinance shall be and is hereby, made cumulative. SECTION 3. That this ordinance is not intended to annex any part of any area legally within the existing corporate boundaries of any other incorporated municipality at the time of its passage; in the event a portion of this ordinance be found to be void and in conflict with any such area then the voiding of any such conflicting portion shall have no effect on the ordinance as a whole, other than the portion found to be void. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall be published one time in a daily newspaper published in the City of Fort Worth, Texas, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40, Chapter MIMI of the City Charter. a + SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and effect upon its final passage, which in no event shall be less than thirty (30) days from the date of its publication, as aforesaid, and it is so ordained.
