BLOCK 6, VICKERY'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS, BE ABAN- DONED, VACATED AND CLOSED; AND PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF THE FEE TO SAID LAND. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the north-south and east-west alleys in Block 6, Vickery3s Addition to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, west of Luxton Street and south of Humbolt Street, be and the same are hereby vacated, closed and permanently abandoned as alleys or public thoroughfares of any kind or character whatever. SECTION 2. That the fee to the land in said alleys above de- scribed is hereby released and will reverie to the owner as provided by law, save and except that easements are re- tained for any or all existing utilities. SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage. Honorable Mayor and Re: Requested Alley Closing, Members of the City Council Block 6, Vickery's Addition City of Fort Worth Mrs. McKnight and Gentlemen: A request has been received from the owner of Blocks 6 and 9, Vickery's Addition, for the closing of the alleys in Block 6 for the purpose of consolidation and development of commercial property. Pulaski Street was closed by Ordinance No. i6T9 between Blocks 6 and. 9. The Public Works and City Plarning Departments have investigated this request, have contacted all interested parties, including private utilitJr.companies, and have found no objections to the closings. It is recommended that an ordinance be adopted closing both the north-.south and east-west alleys in Block 6, Vickery's Addition. Respectfully submitted, L. P. Cookingham City Manager LPC:mr attach.
