STREET BETWEEN THE WEST RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF
JENNINGS AVENUE AND THE EAST RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF
MONROE STREET BE VACATED, ABANDONED AND CLOSED;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That all of South Eleventh Street between the west right
of way line of Jennings Avenue and the east right of way line
of Monroe Street be and the same is hereby closed, abandoned
and permanently vacated as a street or public thoroughfare
of any kind or character whatever, save and except that ease-
ments are reserved for any and all existing utilities.
SECTION 2.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
and effect from and after the date of its passage.

.On March 11, 1963, the City Council approved M&C G-439, providing for the estab-
lishment of a central City vehicle pool f6r use by police and other gity person-
nel in carrying out the their-:required city duties. Also approved was a plan
for clo-sing llth Street, between Monroe Street and Jennings Avenue., and conver-
sion of this area into a parking lot to replace the present parking facility at
Monroe and loth Streets which will be used by the central City vehicle pool.
All private utility companies and municipal departments have been contacted and
do not object to the proposed closing, providing existing utility easements are
reserved. The City Plan Commission reviewed the request at its meeting on
March 21, 1963, and recommended that the street be closed.
Council action is requested on an ordinance closing this portion of llth Street,
reserving the full width of the street for any and all existing utilities.
